    Fantasy Zone 2 is supported in the new FB Alpha. Unfortunately it runs out of memory in FBL so this is another game that will require VMM to be added. That sort of thing is way beyond my ability but it's possible that kenshiro will be taking a look at getting these games working at some point.

     

    Added to my to do list. I don't know when i will do it, i'm currently in the process to change of job and it is extremely time consumer.

    Apologies for the delay on FBL1.6. I've been away from home for the last couple of weeks and am returning tomorrow. I'd hoped to get 1.6 released before I left but updating all the ROM sets to the latest MAME versions is taking a lot longer than expected as so many have changed and several new clones/parent sets have been added.

     

    Cool to see you back. Give me some work to do please!

    Final Burn Consoles 1.2

     

    I've added all available Neo Geo CD conversion sets to this build. To clarify, these are just standard ROM sets created from CDs; there is no NGCD driver in FBC. I'm aware of a build of FBA from some time ago that had a Neo Geo CD driver implemented but all links to the sourcecode I've found are dead. I've also added several standard Neo Geo games that were never released as AES cartridges. The reason for this is that they still have AES specific settings or modes that were clearly intended for AES release even though they never quite made it.

     

    Anyway, enjoy!

    Thanks for 1.5 its great but i have a question , How do i remove unwanted games (like out of memory games or unplayable games) Id like to create a set where they all work

    Who knows, maybe some guys are currently working on fixing games which runs out of memory :D

    I say this because I too thought that I had roms that were not working (even though they all worked with 1.3), however, I did make an interesting discovery last night: I noticed that the default setting for the NEOGEO bios is set to US version 6 or something. I too could not get mslug3 or KOF98 to work. (I will say, though, that I did not get any error, they just hung on the green screen that appears before the game). I got around this by going into the game, clicking the right thumb to get to the in game menu (strangely, I had to click three times for these games), and then setting the bios to 2.3. BAM, games worked perfectly then?

     

    Strange. Because the default bios in FBL 1.3 (i didn't try the 1.4 ATM) is the Unibios 2.3, to avoid this green screen (it is a neogeo self hardware test).

     

    +T+, did you change it (i'm currently at my work, i don't have the sources on my hand)?

    Guys, more questions!

     

    1 - Some games are not running, FBL acuses "OUT OF MEMORY" error. I tried them in both FBL 1.3 and FBL 1.4.

    Metal Slug 3 has this problem. Also, all KoF 2K, 2K1, 2K2, 2K3, Garou, SVC, and some other fat ones.

    It just happens on NeoGeo games. No CPS2 or other mame gave me this error.

    Is this a emulator issue or it could be a ROM issue? Is someone able to test those games in FBL 1.4 for me?

     

    The only Neogeo games which can run out of memory are actually the PCB sets (svc, kof2003, mslug5) and few others, all in a video mode higher than 480P. They're already fix (i will give the code to +T+).

     

    the "OUT OF MEMORY" error means that a call of malloc() failed, so definitly not an rom issue.

     

    If it is not a radioactivity issue, or if you don't use a special revision of the Xbox with 16 MB of RAM, i suggest you to perform a clean install. If it still does not work i can give you the number phone of an exorcist.

    Never understood the appeal of 'pixel perfect' myself. Just seems like an inventive way of making arcade games look completely different to how they actually looked in the arcade. All these crazy numbers may be 'pixel' perfect but good old 4:3 is arcade perfect. :)

     

    Same here. This is trend that appeared about 2 years ago (after Cospefogo pointed this out). I had a try and never feel excited. Well, everyone has his own trip. :)
