I was wondering what you need to edit the gamesave locations of a game. I want to know how to do this so that I can run different builds of mameox without them sharing the same gamesave location. Thanks.

I have Coinops ignite, and a couple older versions of mameox, and fbaxx on a multigame disc. I want to load the roms from the coinops directory with my other emulators located on the disc.
The roms are all located in the coinops rom directory which is "game5\roms"
Coinops works fine finding the roms in path d:\roms.
My question is for my other emulators, what drive letter do I use to load the roms from the coinops rom directory.
I tried d:\game5\roms etc.... but that didn't work.

Where can I get the latest build of this emulator. I don't know how to compile the source, what do I need. I also checked xbins and the latest build was 1.28. Are we going see a 1.29 romset or are we waiting for more developments.
If anyone can help me get the latest build compiled send me a message. I'd like to test it out. Thanks for the help.

What about dumping the NeoGeo and CPS stuff that FBAxxx already does so well and just concentrate on the rest? Without those it will be well under 2 gigs and allow room for other stuff, like newer games and previews etc.
We could all help out with keymapping etc too, nothing technical there.
Thats a great idea...I already have my FBAxxx sorted out ...it is redundant to have them in coinops.
I disagree, if you have a 4.7 gig dvd to work with why, would you omit some of the best arcade games when you could have them on one disc.

It wont be an issue getting it on one disc... ill look at stuff like AOF 1 2 and 3 and maybe get rid of 1 and 2... for the lesser of the games All Mwtal slugs will stay.
I will be putting a full installer like Plat 2 in... so it can be installed from dvd
List to do = - Add sound to Midway games (NBA jam series)
I think some of the King of the Fighters could removed and just keep the best ones. I was able to fit your last release on a dvd by doing that and also removing Samurai Showdown 5 regular version.

You know what makes me sad is the NBA Jam series is one of my favorite games ever, I just wish it would be possible to play at fullspeed *with sound*. The supernes one is good but doesn't look nearly as good as the arcade version.

Sounds like a really good plan. Do you think you can fit all the games on 1 dvd without omitting some good games? If not I'd say have it span two discs.
Did you ever think about implementing an installer for the udata and tdata required to boot up Coinops.

I was wondering if it is possible to add speed hacks for one game, such as NBA Jam which doesn't run full speed on mame xbox emulators.
Nba Jam is one of my all time favorite games. I know it is possible to run the game at a good speed without sound, but as any NBA jam fan knows, the announcer + gameplay is what made NBA Jam so fun.
To my knowledge there isn't a way to run the game fullspeed with sound on the xbox. The game just isn't the same without the announcer.
