  1. Hello,

I came across an excellent PS1 deal (first generation, not the smaller one) but its not modded. Can anyone tell me if there is a boot disc of sorts or is a mod chip required? If the mod chip is required then how much does it cost?

    - Thanks

  2. Eternal SPU and Pete's plugins are the ones I tried there and had no luck. These games worked before I formatted my computer fine (I tried Castlevania SOTN and Final Fantasy Tactics).

What do you mean by no sound plugins installed? For the emu or the computer?

  3. Sup,

For some strange reason I get no sound in the emulator, the video is fine. I thought maybe its a prob with my comp but it ain't since every other emulator works fine (VGS included). I tried default and different plugins but no luck.

    Thanks in advance,

P.S Anybody know where I can get a compatibility list for this emu?

  4. Sup,

I downloaded a few ISOs and don't know how to burn them, I unrar them and instead of being a cdi or nrg file it is a weird one my comp doesn't recognize.

    Examples of a file:

    Mr Driller:kal-mrdr.001

    RE: Code Ver: fu_recv1.001

There are many more of these per game and there is one.sfv file per game as well. I have no idea what to do.

Any help would be very appreciated.

  5. Mine was used too but it works flawlessly and thats all that matters :P.

Rag: you don't need a chip but you do need a boot disc (free and easy to find on the net) if the game you downloaded isn't a self-boot, if it is then just use it like you would an original.

And personally I believe that people will remember the DC for a far far longer time than the current consoles, b/c of all its uses and the kind of quality of games on it.

Hey dudes, is it true that using backups/non-original disks screws up your GD-Rom lense?

  6. Congrats man.

I bought mine for $25 (you heard me) and am pretty happy with it. My Berserk is gonna arrive soon (got shipped yesterday) and I can't wait to see what happened after the anime.

  7. The have to catch you red handed and formatting won't help, at all. They can retrieve info even 5-7+ formats later.

The best solution where there is no way they can get proof? Keep a magnet somewhere where you can easily reach it. The moment you see cops or whatever just place the magnet on your comp or better yet as close to your HD as possible. Your HD is fried and there is no way they can retrieve the info.
