  1. And THAT is why I don't give out my email address.

Too many idiots have hundreds of people stored in their contacts and/or email something to a person with like 50 carbon copies sent to others.

But if no one ever gave out their e-mail address then you would have no one to e-mail and thus no need for an e-mail account. Can't really blame people for having people stored in their contacts.

  2. I run it on the xbox and those games run just fine...operator error i suspect.

Exactly, the XBOX has limited RAM and power compared to today's PCs and it runs some of those games he lists just fine. For example, I have played Paper Mario on my XBOX and, yes, sometimes some of the textures will turn black (still very playable), but the sound works great... yet this guy claims to hear no sound at all.

  3. To add to what Prican said, someone has posted the Surreal emulator over on Suprnova. Also, for those don't already know how, you need to learn how to use the XBINS FTP site. You can get virtually every bit of software related, except retail games, to the XBOX (including all the emulators) from that site. If you don't know how, but want to, just send me a PM.

  4. Jinky,

Which Metal Slug are you talking about? I always play in Arcade mode, but I have blood in console mode too. Try setting it to arcade, then turning on blood, reset game, set it to Console, then reset game and play.

Also, when you say "hit back twice" do you mean hit the "back" button ot hit the backwards direction on the D-pad? And where do you do this? I couldn't get any menu to pop up in console mode.

  5. Zero,

You need to be using KawaX SE. It doesn't require you to change the ROM file names and the games real names show up in the menu.

    xboxcavalier,

Just look on page seven of this thread. MrX posted a link to the P1 you need to run MSlug 5 in Kawaks/KawaX. He is working on a new default.xbe that will allow you to run MSlug 5 and will allow RotD to run without the life gauges being glitched. But he has not yet released it.

  6. mines works fine using 1964 and surreal 1.0 at default settings. F-Zero_X_(U)_[!]

Well, damn. I have no idea. I've now tried it on two XBOX and neither one showed vehicle textures during races. I also tried the (J) [!] ROM and it too failed to show textures. What are you running in your XBOX? I'm using an Xecuter 2.2 chip, 4980.06 BIOS, and Evox 3935 dash.

  7. Can some of you guys report on F-Zero X. I'm having an issue with that ROM. I've tried both the (E) [!] and (U) [!] versions and when I go to a race none of the cars have textures (they do in the vehicle selection menu). I've seen some people report over at Xbox-Scene that their ROMS work perfectly, so I have no clue what the problem could be.

  8. i've been having problems with super smash bros. it seems to be freezing up and going matrix like a lot. anyone got any ideas on how to fix it, or is anyone played it with it working ( i know there is a 16mb rom that is also out there, mine's 32)

Yup, I'd say that is your problem. The proper ROM for the game is 16 MB. It ran nearly perfect when I tried the game out. Get the ROM here:

What is wrong with the intro? I tried the game out and didn't notice anything odd during the start of the game. The biggest problem I have heard of is that the screen goes black during cut scene after day two, but if you just wait for the scene to finish the game continues on normally. I have the (U) [!] ROM.

  9. I'm prefectly fine running an extra copy of KawaX as long as I can play MSlug5 and have the RotD problem cleared up. I'll just give the default.xbe another name. Whatever it takes to have all the game running 100%. Thanks!

Too bad no one ever posted that SE build with all those games on suprnova before. Then X could release a hex edited version just for mslug5, later on maybe he can release an updated version for kof2003.

There is no reason someone can't package SE and the new one MrX is working on togther and post them on Suprnova with a readme file that explains everything. In fact it might be better to do it that way. Then the poster can also hex edit the default.xbe files so that they each have an unique name.

  10. Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest = Working (plays the same as Zelda OoT)

Mario Party 2 = Working (Text is a bit buggy, but game very playable)

    Diddy Kong Racing = Working

    Tetrisphere = Working

    The New Tetris = Working

    (all with the 1964 emulator)

    infidelity,

I think you should just keep updating your first post with the information other people post. This way people don't have to wade through posts to find the games.

    ---------------------------------------

Has anyone figured out, or even tried, to mess with the box art? I ask because Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest doesn't have any box art in the emulator. It has an icon that says, "No Box Art Available". Well, I've found some box for the game art and made the picture the same size as all the others but I can't figure out how to add it in.

Here is an example of how the box art is setup. The Surreal.ini says this for Mario Party 2:

    [ED567D0F-38B08915-C:4A]

    Game Name=MarioParty2

    Alternate Title=Mario Party 2 (J) [!]

    Comments=

The name of the boc art jpg is this: ED567D0F-9EA95858-82380387.jpg

Anyone have any idea what these numbers mean? I need to figure out how to tie my picture to Master Quest.

  11. There is a way to "flash" an unflashable modship. And your chip will stay as it is.  Download the phoenix bios loader and put it in your apps directory.

With that tool you can load and run any bios out of your harddisk.

Ahh... so that is what that program does. I've seen it mentioned fairly often, but never knew what it did. So how does it work exactly? Do you boot up with whatever BIOS you currently have on your chip and then run the Phoenix program to load another BIOS?

In that case, I would suggest that malik needs to load the Xecuter 4979 or Evox M7 BIOS. I would bet that either of those will solve his problem.

  12. zero129,

I would just find a PC hex editor and make the changes to the default.xbe. As faceless mentioned, you can change the title using xToolbox or Avalaunch, but you are going to have to use a PC hex editor to change the save folder anyway, I figure you might as well do it all on your PC. Just send me a PM or contact me via AIM if you need any help.

  13. yes its a non-flashable modchip so is there any other way to do it? I hope so plz help

Hmmm.. the problem still sounds like a BIOS issue to me, so if you have a non-flashable chip you may be out of luck <_<

You could try updating your Evox dashboard. Also, make sure all your Evox IGRs (in game resets) are turned of in the Evox system management section. Then make sure your clock is set correctly in the MS Dashboard. The IGRs and/or a corrupted clock are common reasons a game won't load or crashes. But I still think the that the fact the emu hangs on the Evox loading screen is an indication of a BIOS problem.

  14. For those that do not know... you need to download all 3 RAR files first and then just double click on the first one (actually you may be able to double click on any of the 3 and have it work) and it will extract the emulator. WinRAR automatically uses all the 3 parts. For example, if you just download the 1st part and try to open it WinRAR will tell you that you need part 2 to continue.

As for the freezing issue, it sounds like it may be BIOS related. As bbysknnr6 asked, what BIOS and dashboard are you running? When you say your mod is not writeable, do you mean that you hav a non-flashable mod chip? I'm not sure what you are saying.
