  1. I've been planning on buying this flash cart. However, I didn't realize that 256 Mb was megabits, not megabytes. That's a bit less space than I was anticipating. It seems to me like I wouldn't be able to fit more than one or two games at a time with that capacity. Oddly enough, the pictures on the page mentioned above show many games, making it seem that there's lots of space to go around. So... how many commercial roms could I really store on the 256 Mb cart at a time?

    pasted directly from the FAQ:

Yes the flash carts memory is mesured in megabits not megabytes

    Here's a simple scale:

    128 megbit = 16 megabytes

    256 megbit = 32 megabytes

    512 megbit = 64 megabytes

    1 gigabit = 128 megabytes

  2. The best one to get is EZFA. Thats the one I have. It runs all the programs mentioned and works on the GBASP unlike a few other carts. Its even one of the fastest ones too. Anotehr good thing about it is that the person who made the cart, updates the software very often on his message board. The cart has a Real Time Clock and it will even let you use the online adaptor. All other carts can't do that.

I can go on but ain't gonna bother. Just buy EZFA.

You've been out of the flash cart loop for a while huh?

  3. am i right in thinking you can only change the difficulty on console mode??? anyways yeah its onm lvl 3 by default, put it in level 8 expert, it definantly gets harder, but still not to hard to beat.....anyone know a way to make it start up in console mode and keep the lvl 8 settings??? every time i play i have to go set the difficulty again because it resets??

let the game save. don't turn it off during the credits.

  4. if it helps

    [system]

    CartridgeID: <insert 3 digit number here>

    GfxCrypt: 0

    GfxKey: 0

    ButLayout: 9

    Fix: 0

    %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

    :and you're done

if you're wondering what "<its crc>" means, its means the file's crc32 data, which you find out by downloading this:

    http://www.createwindow.com/download/CRCfile.zip

just open the individual ROM files with it and it should give you a 7 or 8 digit code which is its crc.

and if you're wondering what "<the <whatever> filename with extension>", it means you put the full name like "kof2k_p1.rom" or "svc-ph2.bin".

  5. Can someone host this biatch on a website so I can download it at school. I'm on crappy 56K at home.

the link will go dead in 1 an hour, 2 hours tops.

odds are if you don't know where to get the rom already, you're not getting for a small while.

I'm waiting for the kawaks version so its all good. B)
