11 weeks left in school and then I go out on my placement, and hopefully get hired on where I want to go...a nice ~5hr/450km drive north of where I live now, and comfortably even farther away from all the fucking retards in the GTA.

I'm surprised you're not even considering Opera. It's now Chromium-based but fixes a lot of Chrome's annoyances.
But to be honest, the default browser of any OS you use should suffice.
Have never been able to stand the UI of Opera...WAY too dumbed down/watered down for my liking. I haven't tried it in years though, so I'll give it another shot.
As for using what comes with your OS, monkeys will fly out of my ass before I EVER use IE again.

I'm getting sick of the misbehavior of Chrome these days...Youtube has been utterly BROKEN for several months, with videos slightly stuttering on my laptop, stuttering badly on my wifes...but playing fine on my beast of a desktop no problem. Fire em up in IE and they work fine...
The whole browser in general is HORRIBLY slow now too. I ditched Firefox for the same reasons, I refuse to use Internet Exploder EVER again for anything but comparison testing, I don't care what they do with it. Not sure where I'll head next for a browser choice...

For example, are men physcially superior in strength/agility/dexterity as a general rule? YES, and it's not going to change because that's how we're built as a fucking species, so get over it.
Are men intellectually superior? In most ways yes, in others no(Women can "outsmart" men, and there are women that are smartER than men). It again leads back to genetics and the species and what's required for survival.

4GB is the maximum for a 32bit system (you can put more in, but the OS won't see it).
I would regard 4GB is the minimum usable for a 64bit system.

No it's 4GB, minus address space for hardware. Could be ~3.6GB, could be below 3GB.
Any hardware sitting on the system bus uses up address space in the 4GB range, from sound to video(Onboard or off) or anything else for that matter. The more expansion hardware you have installed, the more address space is reserved.
4GB is shit these days, I regard 8GB as minimum and I run 16GB in my main desktop. DDR3 is so cheap compared to everything before it, 8GB doesn't set you back much.
I was running 32GB in it, until I upgraded my server and opted to steal 16GB out of it for the server rather than buy more. 32GB WAS overkill...
I mean though you may install 4GBs only 3GBs will show up, it's limited by the 32bit bios.
Hate to tell you, you're still wrong...now, some Bios' have limits that make this true, it's not true of all 32bit systems. I have a laptop that is even 64bit capable, but is limited to 3GB for RAM...sound stupid? Sounds very stupid to me, but it is what it is.
It all has to do with the Bios working in Real Mode/Protected Mode/Long Mode..."when" they are in those modes, and if they are even capable of anything beyond Real Mode. (ie; any system capable of utilizing ECC RAM, the Bios must run in Protected Mode)
64bit systems can still be initialized via even a 16bit Bios, in what is known as Long Mode, Compatibility Mode. The Bios is only in control until the OS takes over, but will limit the visibility of hardware in those modes...such as address space for RAM.

She needs to do NOTHING on her end, YOU need a router that can connect to hers in Client Bridge Mode. There are no drivers to install for a router, you just connect to your router like you would otherwise, preferably wired as Client Bridge effectively HALVES the wireless bandwidth.
Some routers have bridge modes in the factory firmware, others require 3rd party firmware like DD-WRT/OpenWRT/Gargoyle/Tomato

Last winter when I was in at work for shutdown maintenance, we got freezing rain so bad I came out and spent half an hour knocking the 3/4" cocoon of ice off my SUV at the end of the day 2 days in a row.
That was 2 days where it hovered just above 0 and went back and forth by a few degrees through the day, I remember just days before it was around -22.

I wish there was snow right now...ok maybe not snow, but I'll take -10 weather back any day. Our summers are mostly ridiculously humid and ~30c.
I'd say the worst weather over the entire year-long, can be had here given how far in each direction the temperature goes. But I love the cold, no way could I live somewhere really hot even without humidity.

I'm just a very busy guy and I hate Toronto(or any major metropolis for that matter) with a passion...infact I'm probably selling my house within the next 4 years and moving even further away from the city. 1 hour away isn't enough, I want a 2 hour drive buffer zone.
I lived in Etobicoke/North York for the first 11 years of my life, you couldn't pay me enough to move back to that overcrowded smelly shithole.

Almost never...only if I need support for something and it's the only place to find it.
I also have not used IM of any kind in at least 5 years now. No more MSN Messenger etc...useless crap. Nothing online needs instant feedback to the point where I need to be on an instant messenger.

Talk about way behind...I don't even understand why they made 32 bit versions of Windows 7 and 8 in the first place, there are no 32bit hardware setups that are even capable of running either one efficiently.
The last pure 32bit processor was a 3.6Ghz D0 stepping Prescott...being stuck with under 3.5GB of RAM and that, on 7/8 would not be quick.

I live in a small town right now, and work at Honda Canada MFG for an internal contractor doing mechanical maintenance which is local for me. I bought my house 6 years ago, and not only are house prices stupid here so are property taxes. I have a 20x110' lot with a 1200sqft townhouse and I pay $2100 a year in property taxes on an estimated value of $218000(Could sell for that too). If I sell and move an hour north of here, I can get a 3 acre piece of land with a 2600sqft house for the same money, and 40% lower taxes.
If you live in a big city, I have no sympathy for you...move. I so get sick of hearing from people that live in Toronto, that complain house prices are so high. Duh, you're in a crowded ass city where there's 5 potential buyers for every house EASY. Supply and demand.
