I'm a fan of Tomb Raider series.... the first one I tried it was the fourth edition. The truth is I wasn''t able to do a long jump and it never called my attention before. However, I get the pc version of the same volume and I really liked it ( I suppose the gorgeous female character was an important factor). I've tried the whole list except a gold version of Tombraider 1... and the last edition - "10th Anniversary"- . I finished TombRaider legends and It was awsome!... however.. what I really desliked was the use of mouse for camare, and clickin' while you try to control her. I almost get used to it... but I hated it! Well the reason is to know if you rather prefer the psx version of the games or just the pc version?--- I surely think it's more interesting to play in your console (although I'm better using keyboard---on pc),maybe it's because it's more difficult to play in Psx... or it's just different in comparison with PC. I haven't finished the Angel of Darkness... maybe it's because they started to use mouse right there! arrggg

It was surely a damned boss which may be placed in the same group of Ruby Weapon.... (at least for me) His damned attack which killed you in just one blow caused me a lot of troubles. The true is I didn't know what the hell to do... I didn't read the walkthrough or guide either. Afterwards, I started to check the special cards I had in my collection ... I put a lot of effort to win cards overcoming the plus rule. I exchanged Laguna's for 100 heroes... and it worked for beating him! even though it just works for a while... but I did it!

I'm at the end of the 3th disk of this game. I'm playin'' it on my old console, but doesn't read all the games I have... well, where wasn' t any problem until now while I played Final Fantasy VIII. But it gets stucked when the protagonist is going to release Rinoa from the Lab. That's why I'm trying to know if there is a problem related with speed, because I've got the Iso burned into a dvd with the rest of cds but the two previous ones I burned didn't worked. I don't know how did I burned the first game, which speed I use, because I didn't put attention to this fact before. I have to say that my playstation console is very strange, because it doesn't read some games like macros vfx and plus (my fav kind of games), some resident evil which get stucked. however, the last game I burned was Parasite Eve and it worked okay!.... It seems that I will have to play the PC version I burned a lot of time before, however,,, I rather prefer to play the psx version for sure!

hey---- does your gameshark let you change a pal game to ntsc???... because I've been trying to play Tomb Raider games in psx (not PC) but all of them are in pal. I have one cd which was supposed to do that, but after the intro they get stucked .

Finally I've beaten Esmerald Weapon yesterday!!! I was not very optimistic since every final fantasy web site said that you must be crazy if you were thinking to beat weapons withouth knights of the round summon or bahamut zero, mime, and many other things I couldn't have because I didn't read the final fantasy walkthrough while I played the game. SO I laughed a lot becuase I didn't use any summon materia to beat weapon esmerald!!!... the true is I just used normal attacks and some limits to kick his ass!. My team was formed by Cloud (he used ultima weapon's sword and keep attacking with 9999, mega all, counter materia -purple -, sprint shoes to be in haste, final attack with phoenix //but it wasn't necessary-- he didn't killed me //and omnislash limit) Tifa (my little brother sold her final gloves but she is equiped with 4x cut, ultima materia and counter command --blue- materia) Vincent (he used enemy skill --big guard, speed plus, counter materia, regen, W item -- hero drink, megaelixir, x potion ) MATIAS RUBIO

What you said seems reasonable---- but I've always thought that lower write speed was better since it takes more time to burn so they are better written... it's obviously an impression... I'm using a psx console and it doesn't read some games.... I suppose it is due to cds quality as you said before. but it's strange because there are some of them which my psx console reads inmediatelly like an xmen mutant academy 2, however, I always have problems with some games like DRagon ball final bout in english... emm--- macross vfx2,,,, macross plus.. etc

Lately I've been burning some psx isos in order to play them in my psx console. It was everything alright but the latest games haven't worked, and I wonder to know if it is due to the write speed selected--- I didn't mind before,, but I'd like to know if there is some recommended speed to use ... I use daemon to mount those images and then I copy them with nero.

I surely like to collect those classic games like TombRaider. The matter is I have found mostly European versions of them and I have an NTSC console. The games I've found are in Italian (I deslike it) and Spanish (it's better since I speak Spanish LOL!) but the colors are horrible!.... I'm not sure, but I guess there is something to do about it... I've read in the web about some patch software or application which let you change pal to ntsc.. but I think there is also somekind of boot disk like gameshark which let you change pal to ntsc before you make it run in your psx console.... (of course there is no problem with emulation in pc!) RUBIO

Okay okay... since there was no help --- I looked for some information by my self... it was useless because there were not pages in English for a Japanese game... it's a relief that I'm a good guy and I started last year to learn these complicated languages (actually Chinese and Japanese) so I found a web site in Jap with a guide of Slayers Wonderful... but I haven't translated it... Has someone played slayers wonderful??? I know it's not a good game at all, but I collect classic games. Now I'm stuck in a mountain located in the northern east side of the map... there are a lot of caves and they seems to be a labirynth .. I guess I chose another option and that's why the gamefaq guide I had isn't useful because they follow just one path.... What I have to do in that mountain? --- well I ask just in case somebody know somethng bye!! RUBIO

Is that really true???? Because I never use that fat character because it doesn't seems to be interesting... but if what you say is true... I 'll try then !!! Back to my previous question... I'm at the end of the game and I haven't decided to kill the last sephiroth because I 've already finished this game... All I want is to take revenge from those damned WEAPONS!! ---but I haven't been able to take part of that special event... So may I be able to get final attack in that special tournament made by dio --now that I already got w-summon and omnislash... ? why not before?

Well, a friend of mine told me the same... but as I said before... I'm already at the end of the game and I havent' been able to have access to that special battle in Gold Saucer. So then I'm not going to be able to get that final attack?? .... RUBIO

Hello! I've been out for a long period of time, but kept playing psx games like Slayers Wonderful... a strange game because it is in japanese, and specially FF7 and 8. I have to say that I finished the seventh episode; however, I didn't beat those damned weapons... they seems to be unvulnerable because they have attacks that killed you in just one blow. Actually, I have hp 9999 since I mastered hp materia, the same with 999 mp. I use Odin and Neo Bahamut summons and maybe phoenix. A friend of mine told me that I needed to have Knights of the Round thable summon and somekind of last attack materia or something like that. When I fight with them, I activate regenerate materia, then wall protection, and I use the blond guy with Tifa and Vincent. Tifa doesn't use many summons, because their attacks are above 2000. She uses ultima materia, and Vincent is in charged of cure. The matter is that I resist against Emerald weapon for a while, since my protection keeps me alive for a few minutes, but my hp decrease and since he has four gems that attack and absorb your mp at once, so he suddently uses her special attack that destroy you. This weekend I was able to face Ruby weapon and my attacks didn't affect him!... I haven't been able to have a gold chocobo even though I have a female S level and some A males... (I also found zeio and carob nuts).... I've been told that final attack materia (that one that makes you do something after die) was only available in Dio's tournament, but I'm in the end of the disk 3, I went to the little pots that ask for elixir and came back.. (I found slash all materia).... so is it possible to get that materias? or is there any other way to beat those weapons? bye RUBIO

Although I did found the way how to follow the story (this game is completely in japanese...) because I keept looking for something I forgot... but now I'm stucked in a part where I should have gone to a city next to a lake... There were some men who were trying to take some rocks out of the way... Lina has disappeared and I 'm actually in a mountain located in the upper right side of the map. I fell down from the bridge... and now I'm lost in the caves... I've just found some things inside boxes, I moves a rock but I 'm getting bored of fighting everytime and nothing happens... bye!! At the beginning I just tried to concentrate to find a place to save and I got very glad when I recognized the katakana "Save" - it was my first objective - But unfortunately I got stucked inmediately after that. I'm in the first city you get after a forest (Atlas City) . The walkthrough I found in gamefaqs.com says : "6) Visit the fountain and talk to the old man (standing next to a shed)near there. Then, examine the fence next to him which will break down the wall. " but what I have to do exactly in that fence?? because I talk with the old man... even with a hen who just says "keko! keko!" - and nothing happens when I ckeck the fence.. Am I supposed to break the fence to get to some house,, but how??? Does someone where to find a walkthrough who is not just boring and simple text?? I surely hate faqs!!!!

I've been collecting my favourite games for Mame since I love classic games from Street fighter 2 towards now. Actually I know that SF3 is a fake becuause it was never done (and I really wanted to play the first and second volume. But now what I really want to know is does Strider Hiryu 2 work? I got the rom but I don't know if it needs a bios from any strange brand .... If you don't know which game is... it's the last strider game for psx . -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Has someone played some psx game which seems to be cracked or handed somehow. I'll try to know more about it, because it means that you can manipulate a psx game. I've got a psx game which contains King of Fighters 98, Tekken 3, SFA 3 and a FinalFantasy game of fighting... Does someone know how did they do that?? RUBIO

Let me see... Until now, I put these materias together in two linked slots. But once you do that, do you need to activate it during some battle or it just works inmediately? because I 've made Magic + All work.. but I haven't been able to do the same with that one which makes absorb....

Hey... I always wanted to play this game and I did it... I found Final Fantasy 7 - 8, these are the ones I want to take a look at. SO I started with the 7' and I've done a good job I guess... However, there is something I haven't been able to do yet, and it's how to put materia added to some weapons.. I know that this weapon should have an slot linked to another, and I put some materia like "lighting" + All.... it does attack to every enemie out there... but what about to attack with materia by using a weapon?... and I guess that your armor can absorve .. catch... some materias by doing something like that... WE use "Add effect materia right?" but how Do i activate it... ? when ?? how?? well.. that's all I guess... Although I love fighting games for now.. but maybe I would turn into a Rpg -FFantasy fan too.... bye! RUBIO

Yesterday I started to play TR Legends, however... I consider hardly confusing learning how to fight and shoot enemies... I really hate to use the mouse for looking outside,,, and it's really strange to control lara now. In the previous TR1- TR5 you just turned to left and right with the cursors keys but now she goes everywhere and the camera changes anytime gRRRRR!!! that's just the only thing I hate.....

WEll,,, I surely thing the same about the control in psx console . But I had a stronger desire of finishing the game and I did finish Tomb Raider 2 . I'll try to find a psx version of "the LAst Revelation" because it was the first one I played and I love it!. So you shouldn't throw the controller for sure! lol it's possible to finish these games !

Yes I do. I just recently beat Tomb Raider: Legend. Why? Sorry MAn... I couldn't reply to you before... you know.. christmas and new year came at the same time.. lol . I was just surprised because there is someone who likes Tomb RAider... most of my friends they don't like tomb raider because it's not funny for them since there are a lot of things which turn a little bit complicated. I've got all tomb rider games except the TR 1 gold.. I guess there is one,, am I right?? ---- anyway... I was looking in this forum for an answer like yours because I had the same problem when playing burned isos psx games in order to play them in a psx console. Unfortunatelly, I haven't finished Tr angel of Darkness and Tr Legends... and it's a pittly since I'm not sure if I'm thinking to buy a ps2 console someday.. because they surely will be out of time soon! lol.....

I've had some problems with a certain psx console that I got recentely. Some games like Macros VFX 2, Tomb Raider 2 and others doesn't work in comparison with Asterix and Obelix, Need for speed Porsche, etc etc----- I just wanted to know if there is any difference between the big and classic psx console and the last and small one... What about burning the CDs... is there any recommended specificaction for that? ... bye RUBIO
