mame wise, they don't add the decrypted versions unless you compile your own mame to play those.
so in other words, it depends if he did or didn't add them

baed fba-xxx is older so most roms on it needs updates along with some roms not even added like samsh5sp, strikers1945, etc.

you shouldn't top over older versions, put it in clean and also delete the old mameox save as that might cause problems.

you can;t unless you run a softmod of sort on the unmodded xbox.
another option is to use a memory card on the modded xbox and then transfer your save to the unmodded one.

i'm sure he might have a newer patch then the one in the topic i posted but thats the one i used for a friend of mine as i mostly use fba-xxx pro.

kof 96 evolution came out for dreamcast retail even in usa heh

well noted heh, i see in segaextreme forums there is a way of making a model 2 mod to model 1 but seems to be complicated
i might just go to a flea market nearby and see if the import shop there has a model 2 and possibly a/v or s-video cables as mine are missing.

i grabed the latest by T3CH which is the one with dvd menus heh
thx for explaining and i went and tried it and it works nicely with simple sharing mode on xp, just gotta make sure you run that wizard crap to enable the check box hehe

you dont need password or username if its in simple mode in SMB share setup in xbmc, just change the IP to IP of the computer and apply it then share any folders you want to on PC they will be added to list as long as filename doesnt have illegal characters or isnt longer than 40 characters in music pic video and filemanger. If you know what you are doing you can go into advanced and setup pass and user names but it sounds like you might not be at that level. Also SMB was broken on 3 sep for a few days so dont download that build
hmm i find that a bit weird since when i read up on samba i saw: Windows XP will not permit a network user to access the XP machine using an account set up without a password!
you mind explaining the simple way a bit more?

i got 09/10 xbmc, smb works fine

windows media center isn't needed for xbmc, thats only if you buy M$'s media center remote for xbox.
this is for SAMBA:
all you need to do is make a windows user for the xbox unless you wanna use your own so long you got a password and then make sure to uncheck "use simple file sharing" (tools-> folder options->view in windows explorer) and then go and right-click any folder/drive you wanna share and make sure the user for the xbox is able to access it, done for pc side of things.
now to allow xbmc connect to you pc using the login/password you setup for it you can do this in 2 ways:
1. right in xbmc's settings under network, go to SMB Share and add the info needed (ip and workgroup of pc, username, password) and apply changes.
2. ftp into the xbox and get to xbmc's folder and edit the xml to add the needed info (ip and workgroup of pc, username, password)
after that, go into music/videos and choose either (SMB) Network or WORKGROUP (SMB) Network to access your shares
i recomend using the latest xbmc since its normally updated daily

hey + T +, just kinda noticed a few oddball things dealing with the romcenter dat:
doesn't reconize kof10th
also some roms like mslug5 and other listed seem to want older versions of the rom instead like for mslug5 for example it doesn't want the 268-cxc roms but the older 268-cx roms from before.
and the last thing was that the m1_decrypted got switched back to m1d.
i might also add that it sees the 2 kof2k2 plus roms fine and also kof2k2 bootleg which i think was removed before right?
