  1. Make sure that you do a clean install; i.e. no previous config files and whatnot. Plus, DS modes stretch the image to fill the screen. If this doesn't happen to you, then there are problems with your video card drivers.

Make sure that you plug in your gamepad before you start ZSNES and set the keys properly.

Also, 1.51 will be out fairly soon, to take care of some of the bugs that were discovered after the 1.50 release.

    DS Modes??

And my gamepad is connected but when i go to set my keys, when i press the buttons, its as if my controller werent connected. In this version, it doesnt only have two input options like in the other one, These inputs seem to be for specific controllers unlike the other one which just said "Keyb/Joystick"

  2. Finally an update :thumbsup1:

I downloaded it and it works perfectly but it doesnt want to stretch to fullscreen when i want it to. I pick a bigger size and it always stays the same for some apparent reason. And my gamepad wont work for it either while these problems never occured in the previous one.

  3. do you actually type the ">" things or do you just type what you want it to be?

no...they are just there to tell the reader that that entire string is one variable in teh command.

LoL, i kinda had to figure that one out through trial and error :)

  4. Not sure if this is the right thing, but if you want to change the password of an account on your PC, and your account is not totally restricted (Like on school comps where you can't edit any files that aren't in My Documents ) you just type this into cmd (Start > Run> cmd):

    net user <ACCOUNT NAME> <PASSWORD>

<ACCOUNT NAME> = The name of the account (If you don't know it, just type "net user" and a list will come up)

<PASSWORD> = Any password at all. This is what the password will be set to, even if you don't know the current password.

Ooops too late. But hey, this method works anyway.

w0w this is great, even though i already formatted my comp, this is really good to know, thanx mooney.

  5. You will all be happy to know that my problem is fixed :shootem:

Thanx to those who helped :shootem: It was just as easy as Drake said it was to put the password. I thought it was different but its cool now.

But i would Still like to know how to put on the Password for startup

  6. can't you just log into it in safe mode and go to user accounts in the control panel?

not sure, now im having a problem getting into safe mode. Whats the Right way to do it, i usually just turn off my PC forcefully, or i think Hold CRTL but nothing seems to work now.

  7. There's an easy solution to this actually. Do you have an administrator's account (even if it's not THE administrator's account)? If you do, it'll be really easy to help you.

    Yes i do.

To Everyone: I Just formatted my computer and there should be no password on that account now, i want to know how to put one because if i remember correctly that password is put on differently i think. And i would also like some more advice on the Startup Password.

  8. Yes, I'm well aware of the Administrator account that has no profile attached to it. It has no more control over your system than a normal admin account (Provided you retained one and didn't simply create a regular user account for yourself).

Go into your Administrative Tools > Computer Management: Local users and groups > Adminstrator < Right click and check "Account is disabled" OR right click and set a new password

Provided your normal account is a full-fledged Admin account, it doesn't even matter if theres a password set on the Administrator account, you can disable it or reset the password.

As for your bios password, you need to change the type from "Setup" to "System" in the bios. In that case, it asks for a password on startup AND when entering Bios setup.

I dont see the local users and groups option either

Unfortunately Cinder, I don't see the "Local Users and Groups" choice on my computer. I'm guessing this is another difference between XP Home and XP Pro.

    @GoRDoOnE:

Set that password for the setup and there should be an option under that same window that you can change to have that password be used for startup as well. I can't tell you exactly what it's suppose to say because I've seen many different variations of the term that each bios uses.

I dont see those options anywhere on the setup screen.

  9. Ok so i think i didnt have total control over my OS since I am the Caompaq Owner account, and i couldnt check that folder under My documents and settings, it kept saying access denied. so i did a system rollback and it fixed my limewire problem and now i can go everywhere. But now programs just stop working out of nowhere like my Tune up utilities. So im going to do another System rollback a bit further and report back with the results.

  10. Do you have full access to the OS?

If not, that might be one of the reasons why Limewire fails.

Yes i do. This happened out of nowhere. Unless this problem could be linked to my other problem with the admin account :P

EDIT:OK too many weird things are happening and now im not even sure if i do have total control over the OS. How can i be sure???

  11. Well in addition to my account problems, my computer has been doing some weird stuff. My Limewire stopped working and everytime i try to reinstall it this is the msg i get

    untitled-1.jpg

    What does that mean??

  12. My primary account IS my Administrator account. The only way you wind up with a lesser account is by creating one. Have a look here, do you see an "Administrator" folder? You would if you didn't make it your primary like I have.

    post-127-1166281704_thumb.jpg

The folder "Ken" is my Administrator account, and my primary login.

The Administraor account that i'm talking about can only be found by starting your computer on safe mode

EDIT:HALDRIE: i just tried to make the BIOS password and i dont see that option, there is a password option but thats for entering into the setup menu, not the system itself.

  13. Seriously, all of us here agree that physical violence is much better.

My suggestion is to knock the nigga out, tie him up and demand the password. Everytime he lies burn his hand.

While all of this is fairly amusing, its not helping. I want to know how to put that password. Ive googled it and nothing helpful comes up.

  14. The only way to change the password is if you know the password in the first place. The Administrator account has full dominion over the entire system. Even more power then just a regular Administrator account which is what you probably use to log into your computer with in the first place.

The only thing you can do is either get your brother to remove the password or reformat your computer so you can add your own.

You might also consider adding a boot password on the bios. This will keep anyone off of your computer no matter what. However you will not have access to that Administrator account until the password your brother put on it is removed.

Ok, So When i format, how do i put this boot password on the bios??

  15. As some may know, when you turn on your computer in safe mode, there is an administrative account that only appears on safe mode. Me and my brother have our own separate computers and mine is password protected and stuff. But apparently he put a password on that secret account and now he has access to my PC and does stupid S*** to me for the heck of it. How do i erase/change this password??

  16. Has anybody tried using one of those xbox-to-ps2 controller adaptors? I like the ps2's controller design in general but just not for FPS, and so I was thinking of getting one.

Ive tried the other way around (PS2 to XBOX) and it isnt that bad. The buttons on the xbox are more pressure sensetive than the PS2 so expect to press the buttons a bit more harder expecially the R and L buttons since the xbox controllers have triggers instead of buttons, but besdies that its a good accesory, the button timing is perfect and there is a switch for steering wheel mode on the one i have which is made by INNOVATION.

  17. what is VMS browser?

    what does it do?

It let's you manage Dreamcast's VMU units and the games saves stored within (or rather, the VMS files on your computer in this case). It let's you format VMUs/VMS's, import saves + other stuff.

Although, VMS Browser fails at importing certain Dreamcast save types (mainly VMS/VMI pairs), so Google for VMU Explorer

The VMS browser lets me import all my saves from www.gamefaqs.com usually.
