I have never been a big fan of truxton (or truxton 2), but apparently this game has some fans, probably in Japan I guess, because a complete remake was just released : https://store.steampowered.com/app/3323490/Truxton_Extreme/ It's totally different, you can recognize the player's ship though. Despite all the changes, the gameplay is similar to truxton or truxton2 (which were games from 1988 and 1992! Toaplan is long gone, so I don't know how this game was made). It's supposed to be permanent, although I do sometimes make on-the-fly changes which weren't planned beforehand. Basically the "s" will be removed, unless the last character of the parent was numeric. So "dino44", or "sengoku2s01" . If there's hundreds of clones, then there could be leading zeros added, so "dino044" for example.
