You know sort of like emuparadise or miskies website, when you think someone is useful or helped you out you give them a vote, I think that would help the newer folks to the site see who is really knowledgeable in the emulation scene, feedback please?

i dont know. we had a suggestion a week ago that was almost like this one. but it was like "a member of the month" sort of deal. i dont think anyone liked the idea much. it would make it sound as if we were saying, "this member is better than this member" or something like that. at first, i was like "ok", but after i thought about it, i also decided against it along with everyone else. :D

Yeah, a good idea on paper but in practice you end up getting a divided forum. Someone can give you a bad vote just because you have a different opinion from them about something. I think the best way is to keep it as it is. That way everyone is equal unless they start flaming or do something equally stupid to earn themself a telling off or a ban :D
