EDIT: Ok, now I can see it. I'll go back and try this system restore thingy. Although I doubt it since I think it is related to screen brightness.

It's a give or take i'd say. I don't like seeing PSP's going to waste. Also, that problem seemed so similar to the one of that post so it made sense to put two and two together.

This method did not help.
I guess I have to send my PSP to SOny Service Centre to get it repaired and get it back with firmware 1.5

you're probably going to get it updated up to 2.5
