Gryph Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Next question, how much are you willing to spend? What's the maximum you will spend?lets see....im willing to spend over 2000 bucksOk, that's a nice amount. The best Dell laptop is $2,082: http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/p...s=19&l=en&s=dhs I mean you could get that if you want and be done with it for a long time. If you're needs don't require such a powerful laptop then you can just go for the Dell Insipiron 9100 series: http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/p...s=19&l=en&s=dhs And are you absolutely set on getting laptop instead of a desktop?

Gryph Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 Well how do those 2 laptops appeal to you? I think the 9100 series is pretty good. If you upgrade to 512 mb RAM and a 128 MB Mobility Radeon 9700, it comes out to $1465 which isn't bad at all.

Gryph Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 (edited) Oddly enough you can't make polls in this section. I'll move this to Current Affairs and we'll see if I can add a poll. Dammit, this thread is too old to attach a poll to it. But here is an unofficial poll: Should KoKouJoe get the Dell Inspiron 9100 or XPS?a.) 9100b.) XPS Edited October 2, 2004 by GryphonKlaw
Wizard Posted October 2, 2004 Posted October 2, 2004 I've used those XPS comps before at a local mall. Very good machines.
