Agozer Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Then you are out of luck, or still doing something wrong. I can't tell you what is it that you are doing wrong, since I have no use for 3DAnalyze.
Mike Labine Posted November 8, 2007 Author Posted November 8, 2007 I DID IT!!! Finally! All I needed to do was to change the video plugin back! Thanks for all the help (and for putting up with my questions)! All I need to know now is if there's a way to cap the FPS, because it's a little fast sometimes...
Agozer Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 Are you using Chankast's PVR plugin now? I don't think it has an FPS limiter as the original Chankast plugin didn't have that either. Only the default nullPVR plugin has an FPS limiter, to my understanding.
Agozer Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 How much faster the game actually is? You can slow it down by enabling some of the extra features in the PowerVR plugin config (like setting Paletted Textures to Dynamic, Full). then again, speed is also tied to the game you play, like some games will be faster than normal or considerably slower than normal. Experiement, and maybe you'll find a balance of sorts.
Mike Labine Posted November 10, 2007 Author Posted November 10, 2007 It's actually considerably faster in the menus (getting up to 150 fps) and moves around considerably (by 20-30 fps) during gameplay.
Agozer Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Menus are almost always without exception a lot faster than actual gameplay simply because menus rarely have complex 3D objects or scenes in them.
mtsaint Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 set your refresh rate to 60 for 60 fps then enable vsync
