garyoak99 Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 (edited) All I know is that KOF2003 works in both Nebula Loader and NeoRAGEx for me. I also have all the newer sets for MAME, which proves that those sets work in MAME. You were either missing the Neo-Geo BIOS or the romset you had wasn't a MAME set.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> I do have the Neo-Geo BIOS since I can run all of the other Neo Geo ROMs just fine! The romset I have isn't a MAME set; it is a romset meant to be used with either NeoRAGEx or Nebula. Which versions of NeoRAGEx and Nebula Loader do you use? Edited March 20, 2006 by garyoak99
Agozer Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Nebula 2.25 LoaderI don't know about NeoRAGEx, it's some EGCG version, but not the latest. Oh yeah, MAME doesn't recognize non-MAME sets (NeoRAGEx, Nebula, Kawaks).

Agozer Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Well, 000-lo.lo is part of the MAME Neo-Geo BIOS set. What DAT are you using and what are the contents of your set?

Agozer Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Then just rename the stuff that needs renaming. The DAT values aren't set in stone, geez. Make sure that the set name matches yours to the letter. If it doesn't, change them to match yours. Make sure that the filenames match yours to the letter. If they don't, change them to match yours. Make sure that the CRC values match yours to the letter. If they don't, change them to match yours. Make sure that the filesizes in hex match yours. If they don't, change them to match yours. Are you beginning to see a pattern here?

Now there seems to be only 1 problem left: 271-m1.rom, Wrong size. Agozer Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 (edited) ... I hope that you are changing the DAT contents to match your set, and not the other way around, like that first sentence of yours indicated. The filesize in hex is after the filename and the after the first indexing number. When there are multiple C or V roms, the indexing number uses pretty much a predefined format, but I'm sure you have little trouble with those if you look at my DAT example. 2000000 = 32MB (33,553,432 800000 = 8MB (8,388,608 600000 = 6MB 400000 = 4MB (4,194,304 200000 = 2MB (2,097,152 100000 = 1MB80000 = 512kB (524,288 40000 = 256kB (262,144 20000 = 128kB (131,072 10000 = 64kB Are you beginning to see a pattern again? Agozer Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Why did you place two C roms that you've already commented in the Graphics section into the Program section where the P rom(s) should be? ... And then you failed to comment in the P roms. :/ You need to be thorough or you'll never get any games working.

Agozer Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Hard to say. Are you starting Nebula with nl.exe (The Nebula unlocker/loader executable)? You must have mentioned this before, but the set works perfectly in NeoRAGEx, yes? EDIT: It seems that you had some serious graphics corruption in NRX, which means that there's something wrong with the set you have, and that can lead to Nebula crashing unexpectedly.

Yes, it was starting with some serious graphics corruption in NeoRAGEx. I tried using your DAT file but even after I changed their filenames to match the ones in the romset; it still came up with the message that ALL the files were missing! I'll definitely try a different romset and emulator then since there is probably something wrong with this one.
