Linux doesn't necessarily have to be free. It's free as in open source but you have to pay for some of them.

Of course, someone needs to get paid for making those printed manuals and other stuff that comes with those "commercial" linux versions.

Plus you have to realize with Linux, Theres either somthing you have to pay for, which you can either A. Pirate or B. Look for the free version of the same exact thing which is better anyway
