ken_cinder Posted September 11, 2005 Share Posted September 11, 2005 Well I went and messed with my Samsung 605f drive trying to tweak the pot to get it to read CD-R/RW......bad idea I learned (After reading some stuff at X-S).It seems the F is very touchy, and I am certain I fried the laser. Mind you I barely adjusted it, but it's said to be easy to break. I'm looking for a 605b model, or even a Philips drive. Everyone selling on Ebay is asking WAY too damn much + retarded shipping costs (I'm not paying $30-$40 for shipping)If anyone has one they want to sell, or knows where I can get one at a decent price WITHOUT retarded shipping prices, please speak up.
