Reformating 2nd hard drive

Im going to reformat my 2nd hard drive, but i was wondering if i can some how set it up as just a storage media, the first time i installed the hard drive, i also had to install windows on it as if i was going to run my computer off of it.

So to fix that problem i just installed like i said above and deleated the 800 or so megabytes that it put on it to run windows, and it worked fine, just wondering if there was any way to bypass this?

Thanks.

I think your primary harddrive needs to be set as Master and the Second as Slave. You could also go check out your BIOS settings and see if there's an entry for Boot Order.
