  1. Theres no way I'm talking, because 1) I have no idea how to have background music and it was Inline, not microphone. Were such shoutcast noobies.

    heh. True dat.

On my shoutcast though in INPUT tab, i have it set to 'soundcard input'

and mic input i have it set to MICROPHONE

in my windows audio settings (double-click the speaker thingie next to the time)

i have the WAVE OUT MIX selected. you might have something called WAV mix or mic mix.......

    its in options/properties/recording

but like you said were a bunch of noobs and my settings arent ideal.

  2. Server Status: Server is currently up and public.

Stream Status: Stream is up at 40 kbps with 0 of 10 listeners (0 unique)

    Listener Peak: 2

    Average Listen Time: 37m 52s

lol, thanks to LordKanti for kickin up the avg listen time.

    Im out foos, bedtime.

  3. when you start winamp (after you install the program) you have to goto options/preferences.....then choose DSP/EFFECT then select NULSOFT SHOUTCAST plugin. this is will open up your DJ stuff (login screen, bitrate settings, soundcard, etc.)

when you first launch the server program (shoutcast DNAS) you will need to edit the INI file to include your IP and change the password, etc.

once you do that, then you input your ip in the login screen with your password then connect.......thats pretty much it, once your connected your streaming baby!

after that then you just use a link like what i posted only substituting the ip of the HOST (yours).

  4. Theres a lot to fine-tune with the levels, etc when streaming a radioshow. RIght now when i try to listen in i hear the levels are way too high. At the same time i want to hear it on my end while im playin so i know whats goin on.......but its an odd thing.

  5. yeah the lower the bitrate the more listeners. Im really just testing out levels and trying to figure out optimum settings from the DJ side so that the audio output is fine (music/mic) etc

i dont intend on hosting radioshows through this server....lol

  6. lol, picky bastard.......its from a cable modem.......lol

if the host was a faster line then YES, quality would be much better.....

but aslo if you hear it scratchy, etc thats all me and the levels ive got it set to. Im still learnin this crap.

    lol

    piss off

  7. Heh, with the Radio Station topic comin up i thought id try to get a test station goin just to test out levels, etc. Probably wont be up much longer i just wanted some quick feedback.

My roommate is asleep so i thought id use his machine as the "server" lol

    shhhhh dont say nothin.

Basically all we would need to do is load the server-side app on the host and the dj's would get the password to login to it and start playin their music.

so the host handles the bandwidth essentially and the dj plays the music does the talkin etc.

  8. Gamers these days (as in the Xbox generation) want 3d games.

I wouldn't go that far bro. I dont prefer 3d to 2d. What keeps a 2 game pack from selling like kof2k1, 2k2, etc.........is CONTENT!!!

We all know that the arcade games are what.........100+mbs uncompressed?

If they do not include Soundtracks, Videos, Interviews, New Stages, Characters, Colors, PlayModes, Remix Audio, etc, etc, etc, etc,.........it will not be an attractive (or smart) purchase.

Now if they created a Kof Anthology or PERFECT pack (2 dvds) 94'-2002

im sure it would be worth it.

If your just gonna drop a few "roms" on a gamedisc, it better have a lot of content.

I agree with above post about ONLINE capabilities.

If you want to say something about gamers expectations, i think the constant want/need from gamers is ONLINE PLAY with fighting games (2d,3d, 1d, who cares D, just make it to where i can pwn the world!)
