hey. I've upgraded to the latest firmware. but still experiencing same problem. other info: CPU - AMD Athlon64 3500+ RAM - 2x1G DDR2 OS - Windows XP SP2

hi~ i switched to a dlink DI-624 router recently.. and during online gameplay (ie. css and dods via steam) it constantly get lag spikes or freezes continuously.. how do i fix that? I'm not sure but i think not just for gaming.. but even when i download the router seem to freeze for a few seconds occasionally then goes back to normal as well.. why is that?

nah i checked but its not on there. i don't wanna use the same type ram as the ones i have now. i was wondering if i can upgrade to use the ddr2 ram.. but thx newayz.

Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite A60 PSA60H-00C006. I was on the US Toshiba website but didn't know which drivers I should download. There were A60-S156, A60-S159, etc etc. Or maybe I'm not suppose to download it from the US site because it was purchased overseas. Please help as to where I can download all the necessary drivers for the machine. Just skipping to another topic regarding ram upgrade for this particular model. My local computer shop sells the 512MB SO-DIMM DDR2 notebook rams, and I was wondering if they are suitable for the Satellite A60? Many thanks.

havent had time to check the net lately. thanks for the reply & help. much appreciated. now i can find time to go shop for the new comp and build it oh another thing is.. the new MBs uses PCI-E vga cards.. but currently im running a AGP 6600GT. i was wondering if there is some kind of convertor/adaptor then can be purchased to put a agp card in a pci-e slot. thanks again for the help cheers

hey guys, ok i'm looking to do a major upgrade on my comp. im wanting to upgrade to a P4 775pin cpu. but im abit lost.. what's the difference b/w the intel 775 P4 and the intel64 P4? i believe they're both 775pin but what's the difference?? and is it worth getting the SATA HDs? or should i stick to my current seagate 8m IDE one? with RAM im planning to get either 512 or 1G of DDR400s.. does the brands really matter? the shop im going to purchase the computer from offers kingston/corsair and the kingston/corsair value ram. whats the difference b/w the normal ones and the valueRAMs? performance, etc.. also they offer the OCZ value/premier/performance. im just not sure which to get cos there're so many different types.. plzzzzzzz help!!! thanks soooooooooooo much

an another thing is.. im just reading my gf6600 box now.. and it has PCI Express/AGP 8x.. ?? does that mean it can be used on both types of MBs?? eeeeeek so lost..

yeh thx for mentioning issue regarding the video card. i was just about to ask if pci-express is better than agp.. im not quite sure.. and if i do change board i suppose i'll just hav to shift my card to another comp n buy a pci-express card prob the 6600GT that i wanted ehhe.. cos itz not as expensive as the 6800s and it is a good card ye? anyone think itz not or hav better suggestions?

hey one of my friends told me this board, UT Ultra-D, is pretty good as well. and the msi K8N Neo4 Platinum one u told me is good too. im just wondering which one is better? in terms of like quality, durability, stability, and software bundle, etc. btw thx heaps y'all once again. much appreciated

yeh well if itz constant 60fps would be good with vsync on. but im getting about 30-40fps with vsync on. and anything from 30-50 with it off. very unstable..

Thx! u guys r the best! im probably gonna get it from shop. still regarding the ram? can i use 2x512 ddr333 AND 1x512 ddr400 in the 3 slots on MB? not sure if itz ok to use a mixture of rams.. yeh GT would been heaps better! and only slightly more exp.!! man.. oh well hopefully vid cards will drop in price soon so i can upgrade again

how do u make the cpu fans more quiet?? a bit lost.. haha.. and my gf6600's fan is also really noisy.. is there a way to make that more quiet too?

well spending can vary from AU$500-800 my comp atm:- CPU: AMD Athlon XP 2000+ MB: Gigabyte 7NF-RZ Video card: GF6600 (got it recently but not really that good.. should've got the 6600GT.. stupid computer sales guy said 6600 should be sufficient for gaming.. but when i run HL2 and CS:S on it only getting around 40-50fps.. kinda fustrating! ) RAM: 2 x 256 DDR333 Kingston so really im looking to only change the MB and CPU and prob add another 512 of ram too. if i have 3 ram slots on MB can i have the 2 x 512 DDR333 and 1x 512 DDR400??? and games i run is as i said b4 HL2 and CS:S. and also farcry mayb WOW later on when i get it programs would be like macromedia studio and photoshop and stuff. regarding the ram prices i just saw it in local comp shop. they have various brands but the generic ones the ddr333 for some reason is more exp than ddr400 no idea..

think azureus has no probs with it.. not 100% sure though.. but for azureus u need to install java package too.

hey pplz, looking to upgrade my comp n need some help as to what cpu and mb and ram is good etc. im still deciding b/w a p4 and the amd.. im currently using an athlon but i think p4's r much quieter and cooler? and im confused with the p4 478pin 775pin and amd 462pin 754pin and 939pin... whatz the diffrence?? someone care to explain plz ive been checking out some prices for rams too. was looking at the ddr400 and the ddr333. how come the ddr333 is more expensive than the ddr400??? ddr400 is better right? sorry for my n00biness hehe
