  1. Tells us what pisses you off more then anything else in the world.

Me it is Politicians. I hate them all. Never met one I like. They are all corrupt and in it for the power and money not to change our life or make them better. They control too much of my life and the way I live it. I say throw them all to the curb and start over. Revolution.

  2. Post your great poetic writings or lyrics of songs you are writing.

I will start off on a new song I am trying to write lyrics for

Tonight, I can't tell smoke from breath.

They pulse and twist in tight circles like a worm

touched by flame. I imagine that if I bend close enough

to a single flake of frost, a reflection will glow

back at me, inverted: a cat backing out of a pail:

yellow seeping into light bulbs: the ground settling

into itself: and in the center, writhing clouds

of smoke and breath disappear into my face,

dull and white as a star through fog.

  3. Never have and have been verbally abused by some out there. I just figure those that said mean stuff to me, that I am better then they are and need not stoop to their level. Plus women are to be adored and are the weaker sex. Now a dude saying crap to me in my face will get a ass whooping if he is not careful.

  4. This has some of the cheapest prices for the space I have seen. $12 a month for 5000mb space/10gb bandwith.

Thought some here might need a cheap place to host something. I have 2 sites I run for family and I do not use this one but I have heard good things about them.

    HOSTING

  5. A roadside bomb killed three U.S. soldiers in Iraq on Saturday, pushing the U.S. death toll closer to the 4,000 mark at the start of the sixth year of the war for U.S. troops.

The deaths, which brought the number of U.S. soldiers killed since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003 to 3,996, came three days after President George W. Bush said the United States was on track to victory in Iraq.

Being a Marine and having fought in war this really is beginning to flocking piss me off. Victory my ass. Also having lost a child and sister I know what it like to lose loved ones. So remember all those dying over there for so called Freedom is the child, sibling, spouse, grandfather/mother of someone. This is now the 6th year and we original went to get Osama and failed. We should have never invaded Iraq period....just my 2 cents and rant and rave.

    Akira Takasaki (guitar)

    Masayoshi Yamashita (bass)

    Munetaka Higuchi (drums)

For those who have never heard of Loudness here is their myspace page

    http://www.myspace.com/loudnessisback

Minoru Niihara is back for the vocals of this album after releasing a solo album as well as a album for XYZ-A. He has got a lot better in his english and his japan accent is hardly noticeable anymore. His vocals on this new album are awesome and well worth a listen to for any Loudness fan out there, as well as those who have never heard the band before. He has the metal sound down to include the highs and screams.

Akira Takasaki on guitar what needs to be said. He is considered as the Japanese Eddie Van Halen and well deserved of this title. Just listening to his riffs will bring a chill down your spine.

This album is by far one of the best by Loudness since Biosphere. It has all a metal fan could want from the loud crunching vocals and screams to the spine chilling riffs as well as the bass lines for a God. Drum play is also good as well. There is a lot of double bass playing in there.

The title track Metal Mad is one of the best tracks on there. Will be a metal classic one day. Spellbound#9 is my fav off this album it is kinda a hardcore genre with hardcore vocals, guitar riffs galore and drums out the ass. Black and White is a great as well. Whatsover is a great ballad with a sort of funk groove line in it. Can't Find My Love starts off slow but gets heavy in the end. Gravity has it all the great riffs as well as vocals. The last track Transformation is good as well with great riffs in it. Actually there is not a song on here that I don't like. Get a hold of this one and give it a listen you will be pleased.

Here is their lastest hit Metal Mad

  7. Sony is offering to remove some of the trial software it crams onto the hard disks of new laptops -- for a fee.

Buyers of the configure-to-order versions of its Vaio TZ2000 and Vaio TZ2500 laptops can opt to have Sony remove the some of its own applications, in addition to trial software and games.

The "Fresh Start" option, billed as a software optimization, costs $49.99, and is only available to customers choosing to pay an additional $100 to upgrade the operating system to Windows Vista Business from the Windows Vista Home Premium edition offered as standard.

PC manufacturers are often paid by software publishers to include such trial versions on the computers they ship. Bloatware, as it is often called, poses problems for businesses because it reduces system performance and available hard disk space, makes it harder to maintain a consistent software image across PCs from different sources and may introduce additional security vulnerabilities or -- in the case of games -- unwanted distractions for workers.

Dell was one of the first PC manufacturers to offer to remove bloatware. Last July it introduced Vostro , a range of PCs for small businesses designed to be simpler to manage. Everex followed suit a week later, saying it would eliminate bloatware from a $300 desktop machine for consumers.

Customers opting for Sony's Fresh Start will miss out on software including Microsoft Works SE 9.0 bundled with a 60-day trial version of Microsoft Office, Sony's Vaio Creation Suite Photo Software bundled with a 30-day trial version of Corel Paint Shop Pro; the Click to Disc video editor; WinDVD, and a free edition of QuickBooks Simple Start that can only track 20 customers.

Sony justifies the $49.99 fee by saying it covers removal of the unwanted software before shipment -- although selecting the option appears to have no consequences on the estimated shipping date.

Although Sony has other laptops with configure-to-order options, including the FZ, SZ, AR, and CR ranges, none of those are available with Fresh Start.

WTF when will they ever learn. If I wanted this crap I would ask for it and pay for it. But if I want you to remove what you already installed (that I never wanted in the first place) you are going to charge me to do it. Ya right another stupid move by Sony.

  8. Banished to the basement, the 29-year-old mother with a childlike mind and another baby on the way had little more than a thin rug and a mattress to call her own on the chilly concrete floor.

Dorothy Dixon ate what she could forage from the refrigerator upstairs, where prosecutors say housemates used her for target practice with BBs, burned her with a glue gun and doused her with scalding liquid that peeled away her skin.

They torched what few clothes she had, authorities say, so she walked around naked. They often pummeled her with an aluminum bat or metal handle.

Dixon — six months pregnant — died after weeks of abuse. Police have charged two adults, three teenagers and a 12-year-old boy with murder in the case that has repulsed many in this Mississippi River town.

"This is heartbreaking," police Lt. David Hayes said. "It was almost as though they were making fun of the abuse they were administering. This woman was almost like living in a prison."

Investigators put much of the blame on Michelle Riley, 35, who they said befriended Dixon but pocketed monthly Social Security checks she got because of her developmental delays.

Dixon saw little, if any, of the money, Hayes said. For months she weathered the torment to keep a roof over her head and that of her year-old son, who weighed just 15 pounds when taken into state custody after his mom's death.

"I've never seen an almost conspiratorial effort by a group of people to continuously torture someone until she finally died, then not really show any remorse," Hayes said. "It was just a slow, torturous, tragic way to die. I highly doubt Dorothy Dixon even knew she was dying."

Riley, 43-year-old Judy Woods and three teenagers, including Riley's 15-year-old daughter, LeShelle McBride, are charged with first-degree murder, aggravated and heinous battery, intentional homicide of an unborn child, and unlawful restraint. Riley's 12-year-old son is charged as a juvenile.

Riley, her daughter, Woods and 16-year-old Benny Wilson have public defenders who did not immediately return messages for comment. An 18-year-old defendant, Michael Elliott, planned to get his own attorney, court records show.

All remain in jail on $1 million bond.

Messages left with a Chicago-area sister of Dixon went unreturned, but neighbors, Hayes and newspaper accounts offer a mosaic of the months leading to Dixon's demise inside the small, white, blue-shuttered house.

Riley and Dixon, police said, had lived in Quincy, a Mississippi River town about 100 miles north of St. Louis, Mo. Quincy is where Riley worked as a coordinator for a regional center that helps the developmentally disabled with housing and other services. Dixon was a client.

For years, an impoverished Riley struggled raising her children. Her use of methamphetamine and cocaine brought drug convictions in 2002 and 2004. But with treatment and housing help from the Quincy YWCA, Riley put her life in order — so much that in February of last year, the Quincy Herald-Whig did a story on her comeback.

Last summer, Dixon and Riley moved into the $800-a-month, three-bedroom rental in Alton about 15 miles north of St. Louis. From the start, neighbors Chad Hudson and Terri Brandt considered Riley trouble.

"Michelle was evil, vindictive. Manipulative," said Hudson, convinced the teenagers were Riley's powerless minions.

"She was angry, vicious," added Brandt.

Riley considered Dixon her slave, making her rub Riley's feet until Riley fell asleep and forcing her to run naked around the house when she got in trouble, the neighbors said.

"Being in their house was like being in a prison day room," Hudson said. "They just sat around the kitchen table and fought."

There was little question that Riley ruled the roost.

While doing fix-ups on the home last fall, landlord Steve Atkins saw Riley "barking orders" at the children and everyone else. Atkins joked to her whether he needed to call the Army and see if they wanted their drill sergeant back.

"She didn't laugh about it at all," Atkins said. "Obviously, I hit a nerve."

Atkins said Dixon generally kept to herself "but was always nice when she spoke to you." He saw no hints she'd been suffering or tortured.

"I would have never, ever suspected something like this," he said. "It's definitely shocking."

Police said Dixon was allowed out of the house but didn't say under what conditions. Hayes didn't know who the father of Dixon's fetus is.

Hayes said things apparently came to a head Jan. 30, when investigators believe that Woods, during a dispute, beat Dixon on the head with an object Hayes wouldn't identify. The next day Woods found her dead.

Hayes watched the autopsy and found her injuries disturbing. X-rays revealed roughly 30 BBs lodged in her. Deep-tissue burns covered about one-third of her body — her face, her chest, her arms and feet — and left her severely dehydrated. Her face and body showed signs of prolonged abuse. Many of her wounds were infected.

None of the injuries, Hayes said, proved singly fatal to Dixon. Her system already was taxed by her unborn baby.

"The autopsy sort of indicates her immune system just shut down," he said. "It was not capable of fending off any more."

In the rental home's basement, Atkins said, he found spots of blood in a shower and tiny smears on the concrete floor, washer and dryer.

"It's disgraceful the way this girl died, as kind and as sweet as this girl was," he said. "She didn't deserve to die the way she did. It's just terrible, senseless. It's just a total shame."

I am lost for words on this one. All I got to say is all involved should be flogged till they die.

  9. Game studio Electronic Arts is teaming up with movie studio Starz Media to create a new animated film that will be the prequel to EA's Dead Space video game, due for release this October 31.

Dead Space covers the gap between the six-part graphic novel series and where the video game picks up, with an added focus on the USG Ishimura mining spaceship's adventure after it collects an unknown artifact that ultimately causes an alien invasion. EA and Starz Media hope to have the film broadcast on TV prior to its release on DVD. International sales of the film will begin at the MIP-TV convention in Cannes, France.

The animation department of Starz Media, Film Roman, is best known for its work on Fox's The Simpsons and King of the Hill, and Nickelodeon's Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!. Suffice it to say that Dead Space is one very, very dark comic, and that no one seeing it will confuse any of the material with "Wubbzy."

Most EA-backed video games receive a lot of press, but its growing interest in films has gone by relatively unnoticed. EA and Starz will reportedly work on two other animated projects based on EA video games, but did not name their titles. The rumor mill went into overdrive after director Steven Spielberg announced he would work with EA to create three game titles, with onlookers wondering if EA planned to collaborate with Spielberg on a film based on an EA title.

The animated Dead Space will also launch around Halloween 2008.

Steven Spielberg is going to make 3 movies for them....hmm. Wonder if they will be on the alien style of games? Anyway good for him and good for EA.

  11. Sony detailed its plans Thursday to deliver the long-awaited Profile 2.0 update for Blu-ray to its PlayStation 3 later this month. Sony expects the PS3 to have a 10-year lifecycle.

Because the Blu-ray specification was incomplete when Sony launched the format to compete with HD DVD in 2004, consumers have had to wait for more advanced features already found in the rival -- and now defunct -- format. Picture-in-picture wasn't added until Profile 1.1 -- known as Bonus View -- and Internet connectivity and local storage come with Profile 2.0, which has been dubbed BD-Live.

Sony's PlayStation 3 entertainment console already featured Internet connectivity and local storage as part of its video game capabilities, making it the only Blu-ray player that could be upgraded to the new specifications. That's one of the major reasons why the PS3 has dominated Blu-ray sales, as existing standalone players are about to become obsolete.

The PS3 firmware update, version 2.20, is scheduled to be delivered to owners before the end of the month. Movies designed for Profile 2.0, which will have a BD-Live logo on them, can make use of the Internet and local storage to download content such as trailers and ringtones, and even play movie-themed games.

In addition, the update will allow the PS3 to resume a Blu-ray movie from the point it was stopped, even if the disc is removed. However, Sony notes that this feature -- which is standard in most regular DVD players these days -- will not work with all Blu-ray movies.

Along with BD-Live, version 2.20 of the PS3 software will also enable users to copy photo and music playlists from the PS3 to Sony's PlayStation Portable handheld device. "With these regular firmware updates and future-proofed technology, SCEA is making the 10-year lifecycle of PS3 possible," stated Scott Steinberg, vice president of product marketing for Sony Computer Entertainment America.

The first BD-Live enabled movies will be released on April 8 to coincide with the software update rollout. "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" and Arnold Schwarzenegger's "The 6th Day" will feature downloadable content that can be stored on the PS3.

Separately, Sony has improved the Web browser on the PS3 so it is faster and able to stream video files. DivX and WMV support has been bolstered as well with the ability to play back files larger than 2GB.

    It's about flocking time.

  12. A man who pretended to be a CEO complaining about his fast-food order in a taco scam was sentenced to 30 days in jail after authorities saw the prank in an online video.

Rialto police said it was an easy case to crack because the video, called "How to Scam Del Taco" and posted on YouTube.com, shows Robert Echeverria, 32, calling the restaurant about 50 miles east of Los Angeles on Feb. 19.

In a friendly tone he claims to be a CEO named "Robert Kennedy" who has already spoken to the store's manager and corporate office about some unwanted sour cream and the lack of a receipt in a previous order.

"I love your guys' tacos," he said.

One of his two 18-year-old co-stars is later shown walking into the restaurant and claiming the food. The video ends with the three men feasting and laughing.

Echeverria even provided a pair of personal phone numbers in the video, Rialto police Lt. Joe Cirilo said.

A Rialto resident saw the video online last month and called police, authorities said.

On Tuesday, Echeverria pleaded guilty to misdemeanor burglary and received a sentence of 30 days in jail, three years' probation and one special condition: a ban from the Rialto Del Taco.

"I tried to get him to stay away from all Del Tacos, but the judge said just the one," Deputy District Attorney Doug Schaller said.

Schaller said the two teens can expect a similar plea deal, most likely minus the jail time.

Goes to show you criminals are not smart. The plan was genius but he had to go and boast about it. As well as up it to youtube. How stupid can you be.

  13. BEIJING (Reuters) - Beijing organizers are refitting the toilets at three main Olympic venues after complaints from foreign athletes about having to squat, an official said Wednesday.

Most toilets in China are still of the squat rather than sit-down variety, as spectators and competitors at recent test events in otherwise state of the art venues like the "Water Cube" aquatics center discovered.

"In my personal point of view, there are cultural differences between Chinese and Western people. Chinese are more used to squat toilets," said Yao Hui, a senior official responsible for the management of Olympic venues.

"Toilet alteration projects at the Bird's Nest (National Stadium), the Water Cube and National Indoor Stadium are ongoing and if technical conditions permit, all the toilets in these stadiums will be changed."

A similar project will be expanded to more of the 31 venues in the city, he added.

"We will change the toilets in as many as we can, especially those for the key clients, athletes, Olympic family members and the media."

Beijing has 5,200 public toilets, the Beijing Evening Post reported earlier this month, more than any city in the world.

Yao said he believed that eventually, the majority of Chinese would use the sit-down variety of toilet, as people do in large parts of the developed world.

"The Olympics is an opportunity to speed up the transition," he said.

The Beijing Olympics run from August 8 to 24.

Damn I hated them holes in the ground in Japan. Hard on the knees...lol.

  14. One of the popular reasons given for sometimes-sluggish game sales on the PC is piracy. If people can get the game for free, why would they pay for it? Go to any popular torrent site and it will likely have many more games than your local gaming store. The situation led the community manager for Infinity Ward to recently complain about the number of people playing Call of Duty 4 online versus the number of copies the game has sold for the PC. Brad Wardell, CEO of Stardock, has a much different point of view: the pirates don't matter.

"So here is the deal: When you develop for a market, you don't go by the user base. You go by the potential customer base. That's what most software companies do. They base what they want to create on the size of the market they're developing for," Wardell writes on his blog. "But not PC game developers."

His approach is not to think only about the "cool" games, but to make sure what the company does create can be profitable. What good is spending years on a top-tier game that gets all the buzz, is on all the magazine covers, but that very few people have the hardware to run? Furthermore, the people who have spent that much on their PCs know where to find the game for free if they like. It's a small user base, with a smaller customer base.

The issue of these "cool" games seems to frustrate Wardell. "So even though Galactic Civilizations II sold 300,000 copies making [eight] digits in revenue on a budget of less than $1 million, it's still largely off the radar. I practically have to agree to mow editors' lawns to get coverage... [sins of a Solar Empire] has already sold about 200,000 copies in the first month of release. It's the highest-rated PC game of 2008 and probably the best-selling 2008 PC title. Neither of these titles have CD copy protection."

So why aren't these games, which, combined, have sold half a million units on a small budget, getting more attention? Because they're not aimed at some nebulous idea of the "hardcore gamer." This is a market that may exist in the minds of people writing about games, and it may describe those who buy gaming magazines, but such gamers are certainly not a force at retail. "Heck, how much buzz does The Sims get in terms of editorial when compared to its popularity?" Wardell asks. "Those things just aren't that cool to the hardcore gaming crowd that everything seems geared toward despite the fact that they're not the ones buying most of the games."

The way to make money in the world of PC gaming, according to Wardell, is to make sure many systems can play your games, while continuing to make them attractive. Find a market where people want to buy and support the games, and don't go by what the magazines and the blogs seem to think are the big name titles. Don't let people who aren't your audience control the titles you make, and ignore piracy. This is much like Trent Reznor's strategy, although the execution is different. Instead of worrying about pirates, just leave the content out in the open. The market Reznor plays to will still buy the music; he's simply stopped worrying about the pirates. He came to the same conclusion: they weren't customers, they might never be customers, so spending money to try to stop them serves no purpose.

"The reason why we don't put copy protection on our games isn't because we're nice guys. We do it because the people who actually buy games don't like to mess with it. Our customers make the rules, not the pirates. Pirates don't count," Wardell argues. "When Sins popped up as the #1 best selling game at retail a couple weeks ago, a game that has no copy protect whatsoever, that should tell you that piracy is not the primary issue."

I really loved this and I quote "What good is spending years on a top-tier game that gets all the buzz, is on all the magazine covers, but that very few people have the hardware to run?"

There is a lot of truth in all that is said here. Make a game that is profitable and you will profit pirates or not.

  15. LimeWire is the only original P2P development company that remains in business in the United States or North America. As a free P2P application, it has survived WinMX, BearShare, a myriad of BitTorrent indexers and trackers, Kazaa, iMesh and many others. Additionally, it has maintained its open source nature and regularly publishes new software updates - a fact virtually unheard of in the United States.

BitTorrent, Inc. is the exception to this rule. Unlike its file-sharing brethren, BitTorrent has managed to survive in rather hostile environment, thanks largely to its understanding with the MPAA. LimeWire hasn't managed to reap this benefit, perhaps because it's still primarily used as an MP3 and music trading tool. BitTorrent is also used for music sharing, however its overwhelming usage is geared towards large movie files - something the MPAA sees value in.

Currently, LimeWire is entangled in a legal dispute with the companies represented by the RIAA. Converse to the MPAA, the RIAA isn't particularly impressed with LimeWire as a distribution mechanism for their wares. In fact, LimeWire received a "cease and desist" notice back in September of 2005, which ordered the company to halt the facilitation of copyright infringement. Unlike many others that felt the RIAA's wrath, LimeWire had one advantage: money. With deep pockets and a community that viewed the company in a favorable light, LimeWire has managed to prosper when most have been snuffed out.

There's nothing wrong with a good fight, but even two powerhouses like LimeWire and the RIAA can grow weary with time. It wouldn't be surprising if both organizations shared the common goal of ending an otherwise time consuming conflict. While LimeWire has no intentions of becoming a pay P2P network and abandoning its roots, and the RIAA has no intention of giving free P2P networking an endorsement, it's possible the two might meet somewhere in the middle. Perhaps with a music store, similar in nature to the BEN (BitTorrent Entertainment Network)?

On Monday, LimeWire launched its highly anticipated music store. Will you find the latest pop 40 hit? No. Will you find a catalog rivaling iTunes? Not at all. Will it have that funky new song your little sister likes to hear? Hopefully not. But what it will have is 256 kb/sec encoded MP3s, no DRM, and full interoperability with all your electronic gadgets. So if your MP3 player is a Palm Pilot, a Pocket PC, an iPod, or your Asus EEE PC, tracks purchased from LimeWire's store will work just fine.

There's a few notable departures to the typical MP3 music store. First, all the music is from independent artists. You won't find Sony's latest act here. Also, the pricing plan is more on par with the mentality of the online world. While there's the 99 cent, pay as you go option, there are other flockt packages as well. If the end user decided to pay a monthly rate of about $20, he or she can then purchase 75 songs for 27 cents a download - much cheaper than what most expect of online music stores.

So what is to come of this? Eventually, the music store will be integrated into the LimeWire client. It's not known if LimeWire will expand their lineup to include mainstream acts, however LimeWire has maintained its commitment to providing a free service. It's questionable how this dichotomy will coexist, however many are hoping this P2P mess will be resolved by that time.

    LimeWire Store

Well it has happened. Limewire has gone legit. Basically the same price as iTunes but they do have a monthly play that is not bad...still I wonder if this well be a big as iTunes?
