  1. PDRoms has reported that Woogal has released the first version of his Duke Nukem 3D port for the GP2x. Duke2x is an open source port of Duke Nukem 3d. You can obtain it here.
  2. retroguru.com reports that ThunderMAME32jp v0.68_X, the Japanese modified MAME version, has been updated for the day (05-12-2005, in Japan). You can find out more here at the homepage (Japanese).

  4. retroguru.com reports that AdvanceMAME and AdvanceMESS have been updated to version 0.102.0. Upon investigation, it turns out AdvanceMENU has also been updated. AdvanceMAME and AdvanceMESS are unofficial MAME™ and MESS versions with an advanced video support for helping the use with TVs, Arcade Monitors, Fixed Frequencies Monitors and also for PC Monitors. AdvanceMENU was updated to version 2.4.12 and is a frontend for AdvanceMAME, MAME™, MESS, RAINE and any other emulator.   5. retroguru.com reports that ENes has been updated. ENes is a Nintendo Entertainment System emulator based upon DarcNES. ENes is for Motorola A92x, A1000, and Pxxx phones. This port only supports left or right rotation mode, and the display is always scaled to fit to the screen. There are on-screen virtual buttons for several NES buttons.   6. PDRoms reports that Andy Eikum has released a preview version of his new Playstation Portable game: A Boy and his Dog. Right now enemies and sound are missing -- they will be featured in the final version, which is scheduled for relase in January or February of next year.   7. PDRoms reports that the official 0.15 release of Lua Player is now available, following the preview release yesterday. Lua Player is a LUA script interpreter for the Sony Playstation Portable.   16. Now GP2x users will be able to run Sony Playstation games on their GP2x. PDRoms reports that GP2PSX has been released, the first Sony Playstation emulator for the GP2x. This is reportedly an "extremely early release" and very few games run (and very few games are playable) and at slow pace. It is currently missing an auto-frameskip option as well.
