  1. Just a thought. Games can be recorded in MAME, so why not pick a different game a week or something for everyone to play. This way the game replay can be emailed to one person to watch, and judge (make sure no one used auto-fire, or leeched points somehow), then the winning score, and player could be posted somewhere on the forum. Like a hall of fame thread or something.

  2. Yeah, I noticed that there are not too many posts here as compared to some other forums. I don't know why more people don't post their questions, or problems here. It seems like a lot of folks just pop into the hub and ask for solutions to their probs....I suppose it is quicker that way.

I guess you could try to get more traffic here to start. I mean I found this forum through the A@H forum. If it wasn't for the post at A@H about the hub, I wouldn't even know this forum exsisted. Can you get the page linked to some high traffic emu sites?? How does edgeemulation get al the traffic?? They really don't even offer anything but the forums anymore.

It's a shame we don't get more people here. The site has so much to offer.

  3. Anyone who is interested in High Scores acheived using MAME should check this page out if they havn't already. Once you register you can send in your own recordings and get on thier high score lists. I am pretty sure they have scores submitted for all the games playable on MAME (excluding the ones that don't keep a score, or are demo/mini games like that cheap space invaders test game etc...).

You can also download the.inp files of games already submitted, and watch how those people got thier scores. Pretty cool if you are stuck in a game somewhere, or just are interested to see how some of the scores are possible.

  4. Although I have owned almost every console released since the 2600, I have only ever owned 2 different pc's. I Got a C64 back when I was in 7th Grade, and I still have it along with about 900 5 1/2" floppys full of games. Other then that, I never owned another pc till I bought the one I have know a few years back. Guess the consoles kept me happy :D
