Hi. I am Autobahn. I am a 21 y/o student living with my parents in Plano, TX. I am not German, I just like the word Autobahn and the Kraftwerk song Autobahn. I also like to drive fast so I wish I was on the Autobahn.
I like first person shooters, SHMUPS, fighting games, arcade light gun games. I dislike RPGs and strategy games. I like old SNES games which I love to play in emulators in class (that's how I found this place).
I like action movies. And porn.
I dislike dramas and romance.
Welcome to 1emu then sir. I also like porn

Hi to everybody. Thanks for this splendid emulator.
I have two questions: ^__^
1) I have two rom directories: e:\emulators\roms\ and e:\emulators\mame\roms\
coinOPSplus recognizes the roms and shows them in menu. however no rom is loaded.
any rom is present in the same directory of the emulator however.
2) Is it possible to have all the old options of mamedox? example: settings
to modify directly the rom directories from the GUI, VMM settings
directly from the GUI etc.?
Tnx in advanced^__^
Your roms should just be placed into CoinOPs/roms directory. You can change it if you go to E:\TDATA\4d414d49 and edit the MameOx.ini there.

Never played one right to the end. Played FF7 to about half-way, and X up until those stupid damn underwater games things. Turn based combat + random battles + linear gameplay isn't my idea of fun. I'mmore of a Rogue Galaxy person. I did put about 10 hours into Tactics Advance, but then it's not really FF.

Yeah I knew I had seen a recent SoulCalibur review somewhere. There's one up at IGN for the XBLA version.

A whole rake of 360 games. RSV 1+2, COD4, Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Rockstar Table Tennis, Fifa 08, Pro Evo 08, Assassin's Creed, HL2: The Orange Box and Viva Pinata.
Mostly just quick blasts but I spent probably the most time on the Table Tennis. Portal was great too, pretty innovative.

Bill Gates may have only just said his goodbyes, but the Microsoft machine keeps on running with the company announcing information about the release of Windows 7.
The paint may not have even dried on the Windows that is Vista, but it seems that Microsoft is already looking to launch its successor within the next two years.
Vista is pure drivel, hopefully this will be an improvement.

If you were thinking about getting a Hori why would you even consider getting this one?
Oh lord no, I wouldn't get this one, I just meant Horis in general. With the 99% certainty that this will be region locked it's not going to be any good to me. It's a PS2 Hori I want(ed) anyway, at least until I get a JP 360

New arcade stick coming from hori with a biult in touch screen.

I've been meaning to get a Hori for years but they are alomost always sold out or I've been skint. Damn these region-locked games. Play-Asia has Otomedius + Hori for £175 + whatever the shipping would be. That's pretty hefty for a casual gamer.

I actually tried to do that with Fasterfox, followed the directions exactly, but it appears nothing has happened.
I tried it and it works OK. Go to -
C:\Documents and Settings\YOU\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\random.default\extensions\{c36177c0-224a-11da-8cd6-0800200c9a66}
and delete the install.rdf. Replace it with the one I have attached. Make sure FF isn't running btw.
The only thing is that there are a few new tweaks for FF3. Given that Fasterfox is designed for FF2 then it'll only be able to make FF2 tweaks. It does still work though.

Some people get offended at the slightest thing...
if they don't like the number plate don't look at it, sheesh
Exactly! C'mon, wtf?!

I have tried my Live profile on my flashed system and played a actual game online and nothing happened. I'm not brave enough to try a burned one online though. Would be nice to know since it seems to be random on who gets caught.
I have been reading up on this and it seems that there are a small number of people who got banned just from being on Live with a flashed drive, never having played a burned game.
Anyway, I finally got my via sata card this morning, went through the tutorial, worked like a charm. Remembering the pains I had when I softmodded my Xbox1(s), it was a piece of cake. One small issue though. I originally had a Silicon Image sata card which I used for my Asus sata DVD burner, and my main hdd, a 160GB Hitachi. I had everything switched off and disconnected, to go through the flash process, and had to remove my sata card to put in the VIA card for flashing. Once I had flashed I decided to just connect my DVD drive and hdd into the VIA sata card, instead of putting the old one back in. When I started Windows it said that the hdd was corrupted. I tried a few recovery apps I have and not one of them could do a thing. Coincidentally, this was the drive where I had my 360 'backups' stored and ready to burn. Not good. So I had the high of properly flashing the 360 crushed just minutes later when I realised I had just lost 80GB worth of games in one go. It's ok though, I did a test burn last night cause I couldn't wait, and it works. At least my burner/media are good to go.
tl;dr - 360 waffle

I grew up when online gaming wasn't even a consideration, mostly playing solo, with the odd SF2/MK2 2-player action. I have tried several times to get into online play but I don't enjoy it that much. It's not that I have a problem with it per se, just whenever a game's solo mode suffers at the hands of online demands. Considering virtually every top game ever made is 1 player only, I don't mind

Even if all of the above was true, it doesn't benefit me in the slightest. Anyway, there are those Kreon drives for the PC that read 360 originals already. The only thing I would want MS to release is a Blu-Ray add-on.
Wow if any of this stuff happens in a few months ... I may just sell my XBOX 360 yet again. Why sell it again? To buy it back from Panasonic?!

well still no luck i dont know maybe its just the game i downloaded.think i will try and download another version of ironclad.
Go and grab NeoCD/SDL or Nebula or something and at least test it on Windows first. You could be running around in circles trying to get a bad iso to work.

To me, the pinnacle of RE is still RE: Code Veronica for DC. Ever.
Yep, RE:CV smokes RE2, no doubt.
Been trying out Killer7 on PS2. Haven't had much time to play it but it is.. strange to say the least.
My sata card for flashing my 360 should be arriving today too so I've got myself a nice little stockpile of titles to experiment with

Hey guys,
Tonight I was about to play some NeoGeo games on Kenshiro's FBA-XXX beta version
and suddenly I found out that all games DOES NOT WORK - due to missing files
in my NeoGeo.zip rom.
Question - Is the Kenshiro's version using a new/more complete Neogeo.zip file?
The file that comes with the full FBA-XXX romset available at BT-Sky does not
work. Should I search for a new one or am I missing some trick on the Kenshiro's beta?
Regards,
Cospefogo.
It just sounds like another bug in the beta. As far as I know kenshiro didn't alter any of the NeoGeo stuff anyway so there is no point in using his beta, maybe I'm wrong.
EDIT : I just quickly tried to play NAM1975 and it gives the same error message about neogeo.zip.

Sorry, I just realised I linked you to the wrong tutorial. This is the right one, using Xboxhdm + Ndure.
The Hotswap FAQ still stands though. You must know exactly what you are doing or else you could fry your Xbox/PC or yourself, or all 3 if you're unlucky

Ok im at stage 4... i havent hooked up my HD rom xbox so how am i to do this..... http://forums.x-scene.com/lofiversion/inde.../t244043-0.html it says to hook it up after this :S
1. Unpack xboxhdm_v1.6
2. After you unpack you find this files under xboxhdm folder:
1. linux ( folder)
2. cygwin1.dll
3. make-DOS-floppy.bat
4. make-iso-lin.sh
5. make-iso-win.bat
6. mkisofs.exe
7. rawrite.exe
there is also some other readme files but u need these files.
3. Copy files for xbox C:\ drive from slayers disk and put the files in xboxhdm's linux>C folder.
4. copy your xbox's eeprom.bin to linux>eeprom folder
5. Double click on make-iso-win.bat, it will bringup command prompt and dump the bootable iso same folder.
Have you done all those steps yet to make the iso?
Also read this Hotswap FAQ before you do anything, to make sure you are 100% comfortable with doing it.

I grew out of it by the time I was 16
That pretty much sums it up for me. It seems to be largely an adolescent male phenomenon ie. teenage boys who get turned on by a stiff breeze or a sniff of their mom's panties. Just the very fact that it is sexual in nature is more than enough to arouse these..

Here is the very tutorial I used a few years back to softmod mine first Xbox, and subsequent ones too. It goes into every detail you need, what to connect where, links to download what you need (all free) etc. You really can't beat a (soft)modded Xbox.
-
Is there any way to softmod a system wihtout mech assault or splinter cell?
I've softmodded a few Xboxes using the hotswap method. All you need is a Linux boot disc like xboxhdm then you can go ahead and use Ndure/Slayers to install your dash. It can be dangerous if you don't do it right, but it'll only cost you a couple of blank CD-Rs.

Nah he's going into hiding until the Euros are over cause he knows that they are going to lose
-
If this is new to you then you should use a Windows NGCD emu to test the game before attempting anything on the Xbox. It may not even work on the Xbox. I have Ironclad somewhere, I'll grab the emu tomorrow and see if I can get it to run.

there are a lot of games that are region free, most games by ubisoft, atari and some ea games are region free.
the games that are region free were produced like that,a good place to about pecific regions of games is play asia.
when you say have these been made region-free or produced like that, how do you mean?
publishers have the choice if they want to region-lock their games or not.thing is some games will only work on a japanese nstc 360 but yet the asiannstc version could run region free.
play asia is your best bet.im sure their is probably a list out there.
Yeah, I have found a few lists, but they mostly talk about working on US or Asian 360s. As always there isn't much info for PAL people. I have found all but 1 of the games I wanted for PAL anyway. There really isn't that much I want to play anyway, maybe 6 games tops.
When I said made region free, I meant did the release group make them region free. I read that this can't be done (yet) anyway. Cheers.
How do you guys "PLAY" a Arcade game on Mameox and FBA-XXX?

Well I guess it's better to use Easy and no continues than to use the default difficulty and credit feed. Personally I use 1 credit only as I find I improve much quicker that way. The only ones I ever credit-fed were a few older games I played as a kid and never beat, just to see the ending.
