  1. Extremely unlikely to ever see this in a playable state on fbal.

    The more I improve it on coinops the more it runs like crap. The tradeoffs are graphics or frame rate. You get one or the other.

    For fba, I would have to port the cpu core, graphics routines, and a lot of intermediate junk. You're not looking at a few hour process. Even after that, there's no guarantee that it would run at a decent frame rate at all

     

    Thanks for the reply, I understand it could be a real pain to port into FBL but the game is such a good one I just had to ask what the possibility was of having it playable in FBL. The biggest flaw I think when you play it in coinops is the character sprite shadows are white instead of black as seen in that video that sbpaabck posted.

     

    How about a dedicated xbox emu stripped down to run this game and this game alone? Or one built just for this game?

     

    IQ, is there just not enough grunt in the xbox? I appreciate it would take too long to do this unless you had a real desire to do it for yourself or if you were getting paid a pretty penny for your time!

    There used to be an emulator called Modeler v0.9.3a which was an arcade emulator that ran Sega System 32, Sega System 32 Multi and Sega Model 1. The emulator itself is quite old now but it ran about 15 games in total I think, its a shame this was never ported to xbox as Golden Axe II revenge of death adder ran perfectly.

  2. if you can add an option to disable audio for video preview too

     

     

    Thats a good shout, would really like to see that implemented in a future update, the ability to disable audio for video previews. I always thought that feature was missing every time I play FBL and would be cool to see it added.

     

     

    Also I know I shouldn't be requesting game drivers etc, but its such an important game I thought I'd request it anyway. "Golden Axe II revenge of death adder" is very glitchy in coinops.

     

    Could such a thing ever be ported over to FBL and working 100%?

  3. BTW, has the bug been fixed when using the image viewer ? (After viewing an image, the skin would white screen after)

     

    I was just about to mention that one :), its when using 1280x720 images for the main menu and rombrowser screens instead of the 640x480 default ones.

     

    When your on the rombrowser you press the start button to view game flyers etc. As soon as you exit back to rombrowser, either the main menu or rombrowser would give you a white screen of death.

     

    If it was fixed, it would help the skinners :)

  4. Also I don't think you will ever see the number of people owning modded jtaged 360's rise unless they figure out a way of jtagging newer versions of the console which is highly unlikely but never impossible.

     

    Also because the xbox 1 is a much more reliable machine than the 360 (eg overheating), xbox 1 consoles are cheap, much more acessible and easy to mod. Its amazing really what we have on the xbox 1 console at the moment in terms of emulation.

     

    I hope we continue to see good things in the future.

  5. There is also a "white screen of death" that can be noticed if you use 3 or more 1280x720 images. (Can I get a confirmation on this?) I would check that out and see if textures are releasing/clearing when they are done transitioning.

     

    This also happens with final burn legends if you have two 1280x720 images for rombrowser and mainmenu, and after you use image viewer you get the white screen.

     

    If you manage to fix this white screen of death for nestopiax, any chance this could be implemented into Final burn legends in an update in the future?

     

    Just thought I'd ask cause it would be great to have 1280x720 images for nes6502 emulators without any probs.

  6. How about a graphics fix for "Golden Axe revenge of Death Adder"?

     

     

    There was an emulator called "modeler 9.03a" used to be able to play all sega arcade games perfectly without any glitches,

    games like "Golden Axe revenge of Death Adder, spiderman, sonic arcade, virtua fighter, star wars etc...

     

     

     

    Would have been nice to have an xbox port of this emulator, then we would have a perfect Golden Axe 2...

  7. Here is new images of the new Guardian Heroes game coming to 360 on xbla, the original game was a game that appeared on the sega saturn console and gained cult status.

     

    The remake will have both the original and arranged modes, and there will be 45 playable characters and up to 12 players can play online, or 4 players in offline mode. There is a new Arcade Mode which supports network rankings, as well as a survival mode that allows you to battle against 21 opponents on screen simultaneously.

  8. This is really cool too! I can't believe Sega shut down the project. You'd think they'd hire these guys as contractors at least. (Could probably get them cheap too considering they did all this stuff for free)

     

     

    I know its ridiculous, but the guys who made this did a better job than sega could have ever done! and to be honest even if sega would have released a new Streets of Rage game it would have been shit, just look what they did to the Golden Axe franchise with that crap reboot they did few years ago on modern consoles.

     

    Those guys will never learn, instead they just let there best franchises be forgotten like shinobi, shining force etc, and they never listen to thier game fan base, but instead release more crappy 3D sonic games.

    Sega saturn would be good, but not sure if its possible, maybe if it was for 2D games only.

    Here is my Mario64 themed skin for Surreal64 XXX CE B5.4 , I started on this skin a while ago but never had chance to upload it. The skin comes with a nice chilled out mario64 music and also normal sized icon and wide icon. You can pop them into the main surreal folder and rename to default.tbn if you want to use them.
