    Ill port Super Mario X into CoinOPS

    If you are determined BP then I commend and thank you...This is a totally rad game.

     

    ...and we are already on a team together....

    I went in and have been doing a little research on the matter.

     

    1. I don't think anyone else has.

    2. The game was made by Redigit. (who posses the source)

    3. He has been mia as of late.

    4. There is nothing on there site against it.

    5. The guys over there seem to think that the source is kinda a mess an it was built in Visual Basic.

    6. Redigit: (actually) last see on the forums 11/13/10

    7. I have asked nicely for the source. :P

    Being one of the main persons who recorded Xtras videos for all of these, I had the opportunity to play a little of all of them (or most).

    Some are great...Many of them being complete remakes/overhauls of the original games.

     

    -There are many many more hacks than what you see in the Xtras... We tried our best to get all the greatest ones we could find.

    -There are many other hacks out there that are not included in the Xtras where only minor things have changed, such as just some small character spirits.

    ex. Like, Link in Zelda, walking around with his butt crack open...or Mario running around with a kkk uniform on... :( oh brother..right?

     

     

    -If they have been included in the Xtras, that means that they were a good hack or that there was something significant that made it unique and worth playing. (that's not to say there isn't more out there like this...and we know more are being made all the time)

     

    -God... that is only a small hand full of the Super Mario World hacks I went through... there are literally hundreds more and many are crap or just EXTREMELY hard. (making them not worth playing) (side note: There was a special community just for Super Mario World hack makers, look it up)

     

     

    -I personally think many many of these are great and are worth trying out... :)

    PS. If you guys ever find more good ones (like Fumanchu did), you can always post them to us and we will try to get them in for a future Xtras update. (that's how many of these got in here in the first place.)

    I love them all, I'll play any of the ones that work well.

    I particularly love the TMNT, Resident Evil, and Final Fight ones :)

     

    This would be particularly cool to see with a new Gui because i have the Xbox Openbor

    and the GUI seriously needs some updates and attention.

     

    I think Openbor has been one of the great homebrew achievements, and more people should know about it and use it. :)

    (I know it has sound issues on the xbox and some versions work better for different games)

    As some may know there was one isolated issue in RX 1.0 where some of the SNES boxart was too large to be displayed in "Zsnexbox".

     

    I have fixed the issue in this pack keeping the SNES Boxarts around: 475 x 347

     

    MMQ - Zsnexbox Boxart fix 6-11-10

     

    Directions:

    For Zsnexbox:

    rename this folder : "Shots 1"

    Then put it in your "artwork" folder in Zsnexbox.

     

    Or, simply copy these Boxarts to the "Shots 1" folder

     

    Note: This pack will also work better in Snesx9box

    (allowing for smoother scrolling)

    What is true?

    I was practically working alone for a long time...(on vids) (long time meaning a matter of months)

    After that, me a few others made and finished the vids in a matter of months.

     

    I never said it was hard...

    I can do more than 10 an hour too, (that's with all conversions included) :D

     

    I know you have your own view on it. :(

    I know you would like some help....hopefully people can help you...

     

    Yes, I am busy on other things....

    Regardless of your scorn statements, my tutorial offering and constructive comments is already more help than most people give...

     

    I won't/don't hassle your project either.

    ive done 100 SNES ones now...dont know why this took you guys 4 years and most are the same as emu movies which I allready had :( now im having to do everyone by hand

    The project has been a community effort for a little over 2 years.

    (Rx, says he has been personally gathering things for 4)

     

    Videos are but "one" part of the Xtras project.

    I did over 1000.... and there weren't too many helpers for that matter. (hence myself)

     

    I know you and Rx have might of gotten under each-others nerves in the past... and I don't condone any of it.

    (along with any other people you "may" associate with the Xtras.

     

    But,

    I see what you are doing...and your condescension is unappreciated and just plain rude! :D

    The Rx version he is referring to is the "Ressurection Xtras" Romset/dat.

     

    "CoinOPS reignite X" is a totally different subject and is a "right" version to use.

    It is now understandable where the confusion is coming from. :(

    Yes, there are many Vids in the Xtras that will slowly become less and less to par.

    The first objective of the Xtras was to get a vid for every game... and then go back and try and upgrade some of the bad ones.

     

    Most are from emu movies, and the rest were done by Me and my team. (mostly all the rare, odd ball, and foreign games :D )

     

    I assure you that the ones we have hand made for the Xtras are at least to a greater standard than the emumovies ones.

    Of course as technology improves, we will all want "HD/HQ" Videos and the current ones may all become obsolete. :( (some of these are actually pretty old, and needed the frame skip on among other performance issues just to get them made)

     

     

    This was not our primary concern, and I am not offended by people upgrading videos.

    We have already begun to do this, with some, just like yourself. BP

     

    If anyone wants to continue this effort, I am sure it will be appreciated by all.

    It's not perfect, but it can help newcomers get started. :)

    Yeah, it would be great guys.

    We would just need some good rumble makers to make all those rumbles. :rolleyes:

     

    Technically you could base them off of the existing cheat database already implemented. :shootem:

     

    If someone made the rumbles, it would take Coinops to a whole new level, I think!

    HELL YES! and to all those who laugh at me about funding him...................why would you laugh at me he is actually UPDATING a ton of emulators to LATEST core's making him one of the ONLY current coders for the original xbox.....

     

    once you release everything i would LOVE to get the source cod so i can begin working on a 360 port!

    what is wrong with you people...do you have no life at all? you kind of like the rapist and murderers that have issues with the pedo`s in jail...its just plain wierd the moral high ground you guys take and cant see others think your the ones with bad morals.....leave it be....or PM them....there are much much bigger issues in the world and none here are perfect...most take 20 years of peoples work and companies work and want it for free

    First, you must get the videos you want (in .wmv format) Here is a place to get them:

     

    Then, Transfer them and put them in a folder on your xbox.

    Go to your xbox games list on your dashboard and press start. go to "edit item".

    Click on "preview and direct it to where your have the video for that game.

    Then save.

     

    Note: If the option is not there, go to "Settings" then "system" and then scroll until you find "context menu"

    enable: "Allow Menu Edit" (then save)

     

    And then, simply repeat for all your games with videos (you have for them.) :)

     

    Note: some unleashx "skins" don't always display videos at best.
