    I have tested all your skins and they are excelent :thumbsup1:

     

    But there is always a thing i hate, that it is not in CoiOPS, there are always all the SET of the games watch in the menu :thumbsup1:

    Is it impossible to just watch ONE SET by Games ?

     

    Because it is very long to scroll them all :thumbsup1:

    You are real, i have the Beta R2 in test :D

    And it works very good with some 140 games added ;)

     

    Like the Sonic arcade, DBZ 1 and 2, etc ...

    Many are 0.84 MAME roms, 5 are not.

     

    I have no many time this week for made all the tests but i promise to make it quick!

    For coloured rom status, i just use the RED for Lightgun and YELLOW for favorites games :)

    The GREEN catherory is not verry important ...

    But "sort by" and other options are very importants!

    For exemple, when i search a game to play with my childrens, i search by player number or by cathegorie if i want fight or not :-(

    Sorted by name, the roms are too many i think ...

    I use the two emulator for different things.

     

    I use CoinOPS because it emulate many many games i love who are not in FBA :)

    I use CoinOPS also for CP1 and 2 because they are perfectly working on it, and i love the menu with just one time a game, not to see all the versions US JAP BOOTLEG etc ... i hate that :(

     

    But i also use FBA for 3 things :

    - The SAVE are perfect, in mame when i'm not finish a game with my childrens because it is late, i can save the game to continue an other day with them :( many times it is buggy ...

    - Playing 2D fighting games like KOF ! They are faster to launch, but also like i write before we can see how to play ! You don't have use the Mame DAT for that, and it is not kool for all the guys like me who are not best and don't remember how to play all time ... (and childrens don't know the games and how to use fighters ...)

    - The filters are more beautifull, for 2D fighting games i like this ... on mame now with HD it is better, but there is less choice... (it is the less important reason)

    Clutter :D is why I dont add moves.

    Filters are easy to add but not optimsed well so it will slow down CoinOPS games alot.

     

    Final burn alpha for me is about CPS2 and NeoGeo Fighting games and is heavly optimised for this and if I work on ill make it for them. Moves is good for that

     

    Ice CoinOPS for old timers has 100s and 100s of great games that dont work on FBA and that is a real big plus to CoinOPS real big, and can never be underestimated

     

    Also stuff like autofire the way its done will die in FBA under my watch as you cant change weapons and you have to turn it on/off in a menu...... so be prepared for this stuff if I do FBA :( but I take your points

     

     

    Need to know dark what is better or worse really not the other stuff that will come with my new direction at present this is to find out why you would use one or the other?.

     

    Can you guys give me a list of your top 10 favorite arcade games... im guessing if you like fighters you will like fba if you like old school it will be CoinOPS for sure...just a guess and its why the threads here

    Is it impossible to add all FBA good options in CoinOPS ?

     

    Try to add the most possible in the code of the MAME emulator for filters etc ...

    And if for some reason some option are impossible, you can also make like in Surreal64 XXX, using CoinOPS like a launcher who launch MAME or FBA.

    The user can when it launch the game because the set are the same in 1.28 using the two engine, with theire avantages :)

    I think it is a good idea, very flexible, easy to use, to have just one very good arcade emulator on our xbox and not many more :(

     

    If it works very well you can also imagine add to coinops Killer Instinct, Daphne, ect ...

    Because some have a very strange menu :(

    Or just play two games ... :(

    BONUS : The very good thing FBA have, but CoinOPS don't have, is the list of attack of the characters of the games :D

    There is a DAT for MAME for that ... why don't add it to CoinOPS ?

    For my part, i think an emulator must have a beautifull menu with informations about the games it launch :afro:

    For exemple with MAME i don't know all the games, have the Screenshot, the Long name, the Year and the manufacturer are excelent indication to help to choose what i will play.

    When we do that we stay long time in the menu and if it is beautifull it is perfect :P

     

    But you are ral, the game is the same lol

     

    On xBox it is a religion to have a beautifull menu !

    All emulators by xPort have it, with animation and music :D

    It is why i prefer use my xbox and not my PC to play games, because on PC you can also have pad (x360) and use TV if you have a beautifull LCD :D

     

    It's what i mean ... and i wish all emulators on this machine continue to be beautifull whith many options to make it the best MUSEUM of OLD GAMES :D

    I'm uncomfortable for those discussions too :(

    I'm frustrated that good guys who make many more for the little xBox emulation scene, are not agree with the production of the others... and not works together :(

     

    I'm ok with Cospefogo, the actual Skin is excelent, i like it :)

    If one day you can make one like xPort who give many more visual options it were kool but not important!

    Your idea of an xBMC SKIN is fantastic, beautifull ... etc ... just don't forget it was simply to use lol

    - How important is it to you to keep the same rom set?

     

    Is not very important for me, especially if it means improvements ;)

     

    - Is there anything you use other mames for except it plays a few games better than CoinOPS (eg features)?

     

    On xBox there is really just two other arcade emulators: Daphne for LaserCD arcade games, and Finalburn for Neogeo, CPS1 & 2 :P

     

    For my part, i love CoinOPS and i use it for the CPS1 & 2, not Finalburn ;)

    For Neogeo it is mitiged, Finalburn make work better the last games who are biggest ... i think it is not very important you continue to improve them on CoinOPS for the moment ... but not remove them together lol

     

    Just add some news games, and debug these who are not working perfectly with others romset if it is interresting exepted Neogeo :D
