So you don't have issues watching mkv's?

I have 9.04 1-alpha, and when the xbox isn't hooked up to the internet it takes longer to start up. After the splash screen it goes to a black screen and a loading icon pops up in the top right corner (I guess it is searching for an internet source). Is there a way to stop this from happening? Thanks!

Interesting question, I'm curious as to what the others have to say. I used AID 4.5 to install my XBMC, which I believe to be the most recent.

I have issues listening to mp3s at 320kbps too. I use my PS3 for HD streaming.

Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone has ever ripped Geometry Wars from PGR2? It seems doable, and I'd rather not have to boot up PGR2 just to play geometry wars.

Per request, I've made a video for the new release. Hope it can convince some of you to jump on the bandwagon. This plays so much better than any other doom player on the xbox and Co-op is a lot of fun! Enjoy

I realized that it works much better just to look at what WAD is being used, then download it on the internet and upload it to the xbox. Instead of waiting for it to download through the server.

Awesome. This is far better than any doom player for the xbox. I had a question about playing online. I try to connect to a server, and it takes forever. It says it is downloading the wad, but when it is done it launches Doom II the single player game. Is there something I need to do differently? Thanks!

Some games need a patch to work from hdd.
You can also use qwix to patch, but it doesn't always work.
Did you grab from the scene sets ?

This is awesome. I think it would be cool to have characters from all of the different consoles you will be sporting via emu (Mario, Sonic, MegaMan, Ryu, PacMan, etc.). Keep up the good work. Make sure to post pics of the final product.

I got a few games from UG (Serious Sam and State of Emergency) and I'm having trouble getting them to work.
State of emergency works until I try to load the game, the loading bar almost makes it all the way across the screen and then it just stops.
Any ideas?

i am assuming you are playing them from a dvdr,if so then copy the iso image onto your pc hdd and then use qwix 101 to extract the iso.then once you have just the game folder,rebiuld the iso with a qwix and burn to dvdr again.
also use dvd decryptor or img burn to burn the iso to dvdr and burn at the slowest speed setting.
I'm playing it off of my hard drive. Maybe just a bad rip by someone?

Yea, I'd be interested to see some games that are "like playing a whole new game", I think that would be pretty cool.

The GUI of CoinOPS, bringing all under 1 roof is exactly what the Xport/madmab/XBMC combo is lacking.
The idea is brilliant and much appreciated by me.
Yes, madmab has loads of features that aren't in CoinOPS, and may never be in.
Personally I miss saving and patches the most.
So why not create a best of both ?
Instead of this flame-war, you could be working on a Xport GUI, (or a re-write of Xport / XBMC
that would bring all games under 1 roof,
with the advantages of sorting features like genre,
getting back to the games-list without rebooting xbox and at the same sport you left it from,
ability to boot xbox games.
There's obviously enough people wanting this, yet nobody is coding it.

Just film your tv and upload it to youtube. It wouldn't take more than a few minutes.

I think it would be awesome to re-do the GUI - and by hitting left or right you can switch b/w consoles, and maybe you could have one screen just be every rom on the xbox hdd. It would be really cool to be able to switch b/w the consoles - and also have all of the xtras stuff incorporated.
Just a thought. Keep up the good work.

Does anyone have a video of these multi-emulators running? I'm just curious if it is worth it?
Also can you have several different rom folders/artwork/video folders? Just asking, b/c I'd like to keep my current folder organization.

I just got the iphone 4 and I wanted to test out the HD camcorder aspect of it. So I made an XBMC preview w/ some of the ResX stuff in it. As you can see the iphone camera has an autofocus/exposure feature that you can't turn off. Hopefully I'll have the option to do that w/ future updates.
Anyways - it's a 2 part feature - the link for the 2nd part will show up at the end. Hope you enjoy (don't forget to watch it in 720p
