    I doubt Jorge will do it again, this place is much more secure now anyways. If he does do it, things are going to get a lot worse.

    Oh yes, The security on this server is something I can personally Attest to, since Ive installed most of it myself -

     

    Lets just say no one, anywhere, can access any one of the sites I host or their respective IP numbers without me knowing about it -

     

    As far as 1Emulation is concerned, GameCop has all the tools necessary to secure the same data as well. I take security very, very seriously- the hacking of GemCom is the ONLY site to have been hacked that I host, and even then it was the site itself, thru an exploit in the software that the site is running that I wasnt aware of. The hacker could not penetrate into the server itself, it appears he did not even try.

    yeah, I head about this stuff, Its the new Ozone-safe CloroFloroCarbon -- CFC has very similar properties.. I think of a thing On TV I saw about it years ago, I remember someone Submerging a plugged in and running Mac Classic -- It kept doing its thing in the vat of liquid without a problem

    I beg to differ. When a Democrat does it, he's executed. If a Republican does it, its forgiving and treason to mention it.

     

    Case in point, Bill Clinton. He was lynched and hung to dry by the GOP but Ken Starr just couldn't do it. :-D And now, George W. Bush has lied to the American people about WMD and Sadaam as an imminent thread and its not really affecting him, in fact he'll most most probably be re-elected.

    that actually proves the point -- Clinton Lied about screwing with an Intern and the people forgave him for it -- BUT, a year later a Republican Senator does the same thing with an intern and is Drummed out of Congress.. Trent Lott Gave a speech commending An old Republican Senator who was pro seperatist in his early day, and lost his position as majority leader and was run out of town. A Democrat Did the Same thing to an Old Democrat -- Byrd I think his name is -- maybe 3 weeks ago and the Old Koot was part of The KKK -- The Dems said Awww, it was a different time then and now all is forgiven. ANd Theres Marion Barry, MAyor of DC -- Convicted of Coke Usage, right after he gets out of the Slammer he wins reelection.. Contrasted to Limbaugh who was abusing Pain medication and now he is getting reamed Anally without any lube whatsoever.. If An old White Republican hires only Whites to work for him, he is a racist, But a Young Black Democratic Filmmaker can hire Nothing but Black crewpeople and this is perfectly acceptable behavior.

     

    As for never mentioning Crap Again/Treason thing, there is the whole JFK/M. Monroe thing that we all know about that everyone SWEARS isnt true and should never be spoken of again. His Fat Drunken Idiot Brother Drowned a chick, everyone knows it -- but its never spoken about.. Kennedy relatives get off all the time for things they shouldnt So, Id say that the treason to mention it thing is less a party thing but more the power the person wields politically..

     

     

    There is a HUGE Double-Standard that really needs to be addressed and it all hangs around politics It seems Democrats get forgiven by the people for doing the same crap Republicans do..     Well it doesn't matter what it is, he should be able to address the American people. It's part of his job. He is the leader and must be able to communicate effectively with his people. It's just inexcusable.

    All he needs to do is break out the American's With Disabilities Act then making Fun of him will be a crime, just like it is when anyone else is tormented for their disabilities.

     

     

    Then, to maintain their false Neutal Composure the American Civil Liberties Union Folks will have to back Bush, just like they are backing Limbaugh currently. That should make a mess of things :-D

     

     

    I can tell you though, He will probably win reelection. Being from Massachusetts, I can tell you that Kerry is as big of a waste of Skin as Dukakis was. If thats the best the Democrats can muster than that party is sunk. Kerry is far more bigheaded and self important than Bush could ever imagine to be. He likes to make sure people know his initials are JFK -- As if.. :lol:

     

    His current 'rewriting' of the Misery Index is the most current example of his Arrogance.. the Decades-Old index shows that life in the USA is actually improving, and he rewrote it so that now its the worst its ever been. -- I have no idea how many people he thinks he is going to fool with this stunt.. basically changing the rules to suit his game.

    But Im of the opinion that all politicians are about the same. they lie, cheat, steal, and misrepresent. The only difference is that when a Democrat does it they are forgiven, when a Republican Does they get publically executed.

    yeah, he didnt look that good last night, but, he never does.

     

    Actually, Its expected he has a disability similar to stuttering.. I forget what Its called, but Some people just cannot speak properly.. they confuse words, pronunciation and often overuse their lips when speaking. It has nothing to do with intelligence, but it sure does make him sound pretty dumb.

     

    Damn, I wish I remember what it was called, I just read about it within the last couple of months. Its one of those things though that some believe it exists and others dont, like the illness fibromyalgia.. There isnt a concrete way to diagnose this condition yet.

    i have yet to meet a girl in real life who plays videogames (solitaire and bejewelled do not count).  therefore these mythical gamer girls are no more real than 'unicorns' or 'egyptians'.

    They are Real, I Married one -- One Who can kick my ass from here till next week in DOA2 on my Dreamcast. Hell, you should See my 5 year old Girl Play Mario Cart :D

     

    As for age,

    Im a compu-geezer at 34 years old..

     

    My first Modem was 300 Baud and could be connected to one of three local BBSses. I still have The Vic-20 it connected to in good working order... Actually, I think I still have the modem too..

     

     

    Damn, I just realized my first home Computer is now 21 years old -- Its old enough to go out and get Drunk--.. now I do feel old..

    Hopefully, Capcom will still be able to publish its own games because if Sammy is allowed to do it from now on, gamers loyal to Capcom will stray (why do people hate Sammy so much anyways?).

    Atari/Infogrames Shut down its arcade division

    Midway Shut down its arcade division.

    SNK-Playmore = Sammy

    Capcom = Sammy

     

    Although the Sega Arcade arm still exists, the company never produced much in the way of quality 2D Beat-em-ups.. Sega has always been more interested in Racing/Sports/Simulation type games.

     

    People Hate Sammy, IMO because they have always been regarded as a second-Rate Pachinko Game producer, And, Much to the surprise of Japanese consumers has turned into a Dark Horse Company, picking over the bones of its former, larger rivals. The Japanese are VERY Brand/company loyal and seening this happened has made them like Sammy even less. this sentiment spilled over into the rest of the world.

     

     

    IMO, SNK and Capcom beat each other into oblivion by getting stuck in the 2D beat-em-up Genre and seemed either unwilling or incapable of straying much from that. Sure they both had other games but neither put anywhere near the R&D into them that they dumped into their fighting Games.

     

    'If one stops moving for long enough, one might be mistaken for dead' -- Sadly this happens all the time to former giants of industry all over the world. Case and Point, Kodak -- responsible for the camera and AT&T, responsible for the Telephone have just been delisted from the Dow Jones Industrial Average. -- Two giants who have been sleeping for too long. and have been declared DOA.

    Sadly capcom has been threatening to shut-down their entire coin-op division for about a year.

     

    Capcom Coin-Op isnt just a repair/maintenance division, they are responsible for all the coin-op hardware. (at least in the USA) and this be the end of the Arcade Legacy, save for what Sammy decides to do.

     

    Im sure they will produce a couple of "Capcomesque" titles that will run on SNK hardware.

    yeah, He was driving home drunk to the Kennebunkport summerhouse at like 15 mph --well, at least he knew he was hammered and didnt come out driving at 150 MPH.. anyway, he didnt resist the arresting cop, he pleaded guilty, was slapped on the wrist and sent home.

     

    He has been booze free for somewhere around 20 years If I remember correctly.

     

    So, Id have to say yeah he still kinda is a goodie-two-shoes. 15 MPh.. LOL

    yes. the last backup that Gamecop had was from the 20th of March. Sometime around the end of March 23 the server went Down.. March 24th GC and I came up with a solution. March 25th was the planned restart but, because of issues with the comprimised data it didnt go as planned. Today however, all is well, and the site is humming along just fine.

    Im not surprised.. 1emu went down 3 days ago, 2 days ago we learned why, and GC and I put together a restoration plan, and yesterday I spent my day chasing ghosts as it were..

     

    today all is well..
