  1. FTA wasnt that bad. It wasnt better than the original, but i think if the game had come out and the original never existed there wouldnt be as much griping. BTW the US version changed a BUNCH of laws and rules. The oroginal was much better.

    That aside

Lufia: The Ruins of Lore is pretty underrated. I dont see many people mentioning hat game, and while its not the best, its more of a capabel rpg.

  2. I wish they made more D&D games outside the Forgetten Realms campaign. There was only one Planescape and I can't recall any Ravenloft ones. I'm suprised I even remember Ravenloft, we played that on pen and paper only a few times.

I haven't played Dark Alliance. Outside of seeing a few screenshots it doesn't look that great, looks like another mass market appealing game.

Wasn't something called Blood Riddence or something similar along those lines based on Ravenloft?

Hmm...I will try to hunt that down. I actually have not heard of that game. Is that one of those old ones released by SSI or is it recent? If it's SSI then I probably missed out on it since there were quite a few.

Ok i cooled off now and apologize for any inconvenience

What i think is the two should merge styles an make the ultimate rpg

    think fable and otogi

How was Fable? People who share my taste in games in other forums say it blows and just boils down to a linear hack n' slash. I haven't had an opportunity to play for more than 10 minutes, so to those who have played it, how about a nice short description of gameplay.

Fable was nowhere near the hype. It was just a decent hack and slash rpg. the freedom aspect was way overhyped. You could do anything you wanted to, as long as the game told you to.

I still dont get where the hate for eastern style rpgs come from. Ive heard a lot of "x sucks" but never any real reasons why.

But definitely neverwinter nights. aeribeth was such a memorable character.

  3. Finally picked this up yesterday. I like the new 3d backgrounds very much.

And not to anyone here, but when capcom mixed 2d and 3d its fine but when snk does it, its a big problem? i dont get it.

Because they suck at 3D rendering (holy sheit, have YOU SEEN KOF REBOUT?) It's funny. They can do good 3D and crap 3D it feels like they gave a bunch of people whose first time with a 3D rendering proggy and told them to make pretty sceneary.

Yea, i have seen ReBout and it does look pretty bad. But i think 2003 did a much better job with the backgrounds and it gave the game a slightly more polished feel, just my opinion.

It doesnt look as good as say capcom vs snk 2, but i think it doesnt look nowhere as bad a speople make it out to be. Rebout being an exception.

  4. You have to use your judgement. My 10 year old brother can play any violent game he desires. Unreal Tournament, Halo, Silent Hilll, whatever. I know he will not go around "shooting" things in his imagination. he knows it isnt real and not to go around acting like hes shooting people.

On the other hand, will i let him play grand theft auto? Hell No. There is subject matter in that game that just isnt appropriate for his age.

  5. I personally think its too little too late. IE6 with SP2 promised tons of improvements, and we didnt get nearly as much as ms promised. IE has to throw a lot intot he ring to get firefox users to even look their way again.

Despite that, IE is still the dominant browser on the internet, due to some peoples inability, or even reluctance to change. lord knows it took me 1 year to convince my gf to switch to firefox.

  6. Haha! Awesome. I can just picture this happening to people while playing Halo. "Oh, look at me, I'm playing a horribly average shooter that I think is the best in the world. *spark* *poof* OH NO!! MY XBOX IS ON FIRE!!!!1111"  :banghead:

I wish that would happen to some of my friend's xboxes. geez they will not shut up about that damn game. Well one, until i gave him a pc with farcry and half life 2. he shut up real fast.

  7. I know how the world is all happy for online play, sure there was that with the emulators, but it sucks and it's laggy. I'm just saying, even I've played the arcade versions of this game (not my stick, Playdium had them imported, like their friking #reload machine). I disown the rom versions I have because I hate playing them on my PC since decemeber. When i dl'd the ps2 version of 2k2 (the full dvd rip, all 2.4 gigs of it). But I can't help to think that the DC version > PS2(the PS2 exclusive characters are ripped from SVCC, complete with all their draw backs, geese infinity is still there) and Arcade version.  Sure theres some plus sides to the PS2 version of 2k3 (Duo-Lon infinity is harder timed, they added the old school 3v3 no tag team). It still doesn't even seem right. Hell, the only thing that needs my money is PC and gamecube games. PS2 is PS2, anything sells on that crappy box anyways.

I even deleted all my NG roms because Emulation doesn't even have a big interest in me anymore as it is.

Wow you hate a lot of stuff.

I do think a bit more polish on the game could have been used, but overall i think its a great port, and im glad its released in the us. 2d is getting really hard to enjoy nowadays.

  8. Have to agree. Definitely a step fpward from the previous game. i havent gone all the way through it so i cant say if it is better than the first game, but so far it looks to be going in the right direction.
