  1. It was nice to see some old school flockon again.
  2. He did and it was awesome lol Didn't help that Mir talked crap about him. I don't think the WWE could sign him back.
  3. Total Domination. Brock is now officially a force to be reckoned with. Frank Mir, you got knocked the f*** out man. Previous Thread of first match up discussion: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php...t=0&start=0
  4. Once my girlfriend sends them to me sure. Edit: done
  5. I've been busy with the girlfriend. Was in Hawaii for a week with her. Just came back today. Nice to see you all again.
  6. hahaha And Ed, you're really giving Lesnar too much credit. We've already established he's a powerful guy with incredible wrestling skills before the fight, but he tapped out in less than two minutes which means that he has little defense against submissions. well it is only his second fight. and he has been out of real wrestling for a long time. maybe we'll see some good fights out of him in the future. My impressions of the heavyweight division is mostly brawlers anyways, boxers and wrestlers. with limited jujitsu. not saying there are no heavy jujitsu guys. but it seems UFC is leaning towards the big brawlers for that division. everyone knows the real excitement is 185 and below. IMO Oh, definitely. If Lesnar works more on submissions and a little more on striking he'll be amazing, that's for sure. That fight was over until that penalization gave Mir some more time. But Brock just got caught, now he knows where his weakness is (he escaped two arm bar attempts, which means he doesnt lack that much in submission defense). He just got caught. Even Royce Gracie got put to sleep by a clock choke, does that mean he needs to work more on submission defense? Brock has been out of Greco Roman wrestling for awhile, but he's been in NJPW for the whole time he left the WWE. (New Japan Pro Wrestling). Maybe his third fight will prove that he will be a force. Actually Brock losing by submission was expected by many... I don't see how you can even attempt to create an illogical comparison like that. And no, after he works on subs, sub defense, and striking he'll be a definite force. I agree that he will. and I just meant that he didnt have a hard time escaping arm bar attempts. Many fighters lost early in their careers and then amounted numerous wins

  8. Yeah. That seemed to be the only flaw in his impressive arsenal.
  9. Mir said in his interview that Brock's arms were huge and he wasn't looking to do any kind of arm submission. He then looked at his legs and realized they're quite smaller and let Brock punch him a few times (while trying to block) and eventually was able to put him in a leg submission. The more I look at it, the more I see that Mir was truly saved by that point deduction. He got a bit time to get level headed and figure out the win. Lesnar totally dominated Mir in almost every aspect of the fight. He just got caught. That seems to be the popular opinion everywhere. He owned Mir on the ground, almost no competition for him in the stand up, and really had no difficulty. He really just let his guard down and used the worst escape possible for a knee lock. But the title of this thread is for this fight.
  10. Sorry about that. -- added to title wow..... i am shocked and amazed..... I will let you all watch first
  11. Do not let that be your final judgment on them. I have been following MMA for over ten years, the best is yet to come. Remember Crocop, Rua, and Silva have already beaten there fare share of UFC champions throughout the years. Years of following or not, rule changes are never the case. Nick Diaz has been exclusively from the UFC and defeated a Pride Fighter in his own court at Pride 33 (Takanori Gomi). It all depends on a fighters ability. ------------------------- whoo the fight is THIS saturday.
  12. you're telling me Frank Mir gassed in one minute against Brandon Vera? Lesnar showed he had power to make Min Soo Kim tap out from guarded strikes. Vera is one of the BEST strikers in MMA. Lesnar made some tomato can tap from guarded strikes. Min Soo Kim took several punches from a man like Mighty Mo Sigilia. Granted, he was eventually knocked out. But, to see him tap out to only a couple from Brock in guard is something noteworthy.
