    Half Life 1 soure was never released so there will not be a port of it. They released the souce to the dlls but not the exe. There were a ton of rumors back in 03 or so of a port and again in 05 of a release but it will not happen unless valve releases the whole source.

     

    I am still waiting for deus ex source.

    Never been a fan of mouse/keyboard controls myself...mind you, never really been a fan of PC gaming.

    Prefer to sit on the couch with a joypad in hand.

    If the source code has been available all this time, it seems strange no-one has ported Half-Life...

    I was under the impression Valve didn't release the code.

    Not sure about a list of games...I just know from my own experience. Just get ECS or AGA games from Zophars (see below)

    Don't worry about all the other acronyms, just get games that use either ECS (standard amiga system), AGA (better graphics etc) or CD32 games.

    I personally use zophars for my Amiga stuff (pm sent)... Once a game loads, do a save state so that you don't have to wait for loading

    next time you play it. :D

     

    EDIT:(use lemon-amiga to see what games you want, then zophars to get em')

    Does WinuaeX play CD32 games ok? I definitely want the Alien Breed games, and the CD32 version is the best version of Tower Assault coz it has the fmvs. I just wondering if there are any Amiga games that the xbox would have trouble with. Coz the Amiga spans so much different hardware.

     

    Yeah bro, CD32 is okay on WinuaeX. I only had trouble with a couple of games, can't remember which ones. Think it comes down

    to getting a good image dump of the game in question.

    The only ones I have had trouble with getting to work in WinuaeX are the more advanced ones, that use AGA RTG chips CD based ones...

     

    Other than that though, it truly rocks!

    With the new releases of CoinOPS, you dont need saves to be put on anymore. BP eradicated the need for them.

    Try deleting your existing saves in T data and U data, then try again. :D

    When the sega CD logo comes up, press the red button (think it s the red one! At work now), this takes you to a "cd player" looking screen...

    Go to "memory"

    Format your RAM (or something similar), don't worry it only does the game RAM!

    (Whatever happens, it won't bugger your Xbox)

    Go to save & exit, or save (can't remember at the mo)

    When you go back to the game, it will be sweet.

     

    BTW, this also works if you don't get sound in some SEGA CD games. :P

    Yeah I wish we could see some new games added or even games that are in coinops atm fixed, like "Golden Axe revenge of Death adder" etc. Don't get me wrong skins and tweaks are good and all, but I think what people really want to see is new games added.

    you dont need any saves at all just, delete all of them though the MSdash no worries.... if it still reboots to the dash on some games after that I would reinstall CoinOPS ( it doesnt reboot on 5 xboxs I tried it on ). It will be an old save remains or the emu isnt on correctly :D good luck

     

     

    I deleted the whole lot, deleted all "babe" save files (via FTP), re-unrared the R2 standalone release, FTPed it back and

    still it reboots me back to the dashboard on all games except Gyruss (so far..) :(

     

    Any other ideas?

     

    btw, I have to patch my default.xbe & mameOX.xbe files to "Retail" to get it to boot on my older mod-chip,

    BUT I did this in CoinOPS Ignite and it was sweet....

     

    After giving up on the R2 release, I went back to Ignite public beta (my last working one), but now this does the same thing!!!

    Anyone know how to get this working again???? Anyone.....
