how do i get the mouse to work and is there a way to make the ds register as a pc game pad for games

i got the program, the ppmouse thing, now i just need to figure out how to set it up. can someone help?

 

edit, the program is ppjoy, sorry, and the problem is my mouse wont move, i can click with buttons, but i cant move the mouse
