ds flashcart corrupt

I am using the n5 (http://www.dsn5.com)

 

I have had it for two weeks and it has got a stuck at the loading screen two times, this turned out to be a corrupt boot sector on the micro sd card. after some messing about with Linux I recurved the data.

 

anyway is this a common thing with flashcarts or just this one, can anyone recommend a good one.

It's relatively common. Poorly programmed homebrew or even your cart's OS can cause damage to the file system on the SD. Your best bet is to back things up fairly frequently.
