help about saturn emulators

I have a problem on SSF 009 Alpha R1, my virtua fighter 1 iso runs like hell...

this is my specs

 

AMD Septron 2.0 GHZ

256mb DDR

GForce FX5200

 

well I know it is slow on PS2 or DC but why on saturn, I don't understand...

I also tried cassini and luck with the run cause it only take me up on the loading screen, then to the cd menu, then nothing happen and can't control it on keyboard or on my game pad....

 

please help me if there's any solution too this problem of mine...

Your computer isn't fast enough to handle SSF at constant speed. Saturn has nine different processors, two of which are considered main CPUs and another two for controlling the video data. The rest are for sound and CD-ROM, among a few other things. These processors need to be in perfect or near-perfect sync, which is why Saturn emulation is much more demanding than say, PSX.

 

Plus, all rendering in SSF is done via software which further slows it down. Yabause is faster than SSF because it uses OpenGL for rendering. However, Yabause's compatibility is much lower than SSF's.

 

If you want SSF to run faster, get a faster processor, preferably a Dual Core one.
