  1. Alright, Just made sure I ahd it all set up to non-auto settings and input all the fun stuff, tested it out, and it worked fine in the actual WIFi testing.

I then goto the wifichat.nds app, select "no" to wanting to use the wifitransfer settings, since Imassuminjg that means it'll use the WIFi firmware ones. I connect to dschat.kicks-ass-org, and....Host not found, please enter IP address...hmmm

What am I getting wrong? I can see you guys are chatting it up though, by visiting the address in firefox :)

edit: if its any help, after retrying agai when it asks me to, it says "logging in @ 0.0.0.0"

    ?

Same issue... except I can't even see dschat.kicks-ass.org

    Is WEP off?

  2. Hi everyone,

the program is finally getting to a good point, I want to have it well tested before the release, but it looks like I'll be able to release very soon.

It will work IRC-style, so all the users connected will get all the messages, and should be really easy to use. I still have a couple of things to implement but I have been able to fix many of the bugs so it should be quite stable.

    Bafio

So there will be a server application? Will it handle things like channels?

  3. Lazy week this time around, but you can now use the mouse on the zoomed view (default R to swap screens), and you can map that and the zoom move to custom keys using L and R.

    Win2DS v0.4

    Mirror Below

    Changelog:

    ---------

    v0.4:

-Added screen swap. Mouse will move inside the zoomed area on the touch screen.

-Fixed some keyboard characters not working from the last version.

-Added bindable keys for Set Zoom and Screen Swap (L and R) in custom keys menu.

    -Tweaked keyboard again.

Cheers Sintax, this was the feature I was waiting for.

  4. You guys are lucky that bug was in :clapping:, I just realized that code includes a speed boost to the screenshot code, so they should work even faster on the fastest speed now.

I noticed that there's an inconsistency between the cursor displayed on the DS and the cursor displayed on the monitor. The cursor on the DS will be higher and more to the left than it actually is. The red circle in my screenshot shows where my cursor was pointed.

  5. Awesome update. Thank you for taking the suggestions onboard! I sorta liked it better when the zoomed view pointed into the corner though.

Gaaah that was a suggestion I put in also. So hard to please everyone >.<

Never mind me, I'm probably a minority. I had a play around with it just then and it's awesome. Thank you so much for your effort :clapping:

  6. Awesome update. Thank you for taking the suggestions onboard! I sorta liked it better when the zoomed view pointed into the corner though.

Just a word about using the DS's WiFi config, I don't think DHCP works properly. My WiFi settings are configured for DHCP therefore I can't use the options from there; I have to manually assign everything.

  7. Would you plan to use the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi configuration to access a Network? This way, we should only enter the server adress, and WEP encryption would be supported...

I'm planning on using the Nintendo WiFi data to setup your connection in the next version, but this doesn't have any bearing on whether WEP works or not. It's not finished in the lib yet.

The keyboard works quite well for me, if you try some different way of doing it, you could probably find a way that works well. If you do firm not-too-quick taps, it works well. Although I will move it to the center of the screen.

The M3 needs to have Power_ON(POWER_ALL) used for homebrew to work, or so I've heard. There is a loader that you can append to programs so that they do this, but that's all I can tell you.

The keyboard works well for me as well. The highlighting really lets you know what you're pressing so you can must hover over the right key then release. I don't see how you could make the keyboard any better than it already is.

  8. Thank you! The zoom option really makes a difference. The app is really usable now. I only have a couple of suggestions.

    1. Allow the zoomed view to be used on the lower screen for more accurate controls.

    2. Perhaps a way to optimise refresh rates? I noticed that if I set the zoomed view to 'Too fast' and set the full screen view to 'normal,' it will transfer at 30kbps~35kbps but if I change the full screen view to 'Slow,' it will transfer at 25kbps~28kbps. Perhaps there is a way to utilise the full bandwidth all the time?

Thanks again for this great app!
