  1. Hi, I have tried many versions of the driver, including the latest, the very old, and the "special edition" ones. Yes it looks more and more likely that it is a BUG in the driver, not a compatibility issue. Becuase Tnt2, Intel 855, S3, etc all can run with 3d Analyzer, then what else can it be? I know nowadays GeForce and Radeon are very inexpensive, but there are reasons I stay with Matrox, hell this Parhelia was $400!!! (and still is) I stay with them because, nothing, absolutely nothing on the market can match the 2D quality of Matrox, i.e. sharpness, colour, contrast. And that there are no cards other than this that can do 3-monitor surround gaming - although I am ONLY using 2-monitor + TV-out. But it looks like it is about time I go for a 9600Pro + a PCI 9000... Matrox tech support (including drivers) has been really bad nowadays, as well as Linux support, not to mention DX9 compatibility. ANYWAY, any other 3D Analyzer options I can try? Please let me know. Many thanks.
  2. Hi, Yes I have. I even tried these as well: - 2.0 (not 2.0a) - 1.0 - 1.0 new_gfx - 1.0 capcom Also tried getting the BIOS from different places, with different regions. Same result. Thanks.
  3. Of course I have DX9 installed, otherwise it wouldn't even start. But ChanKast doesn't seem to be using any DX9 features.
  4. Many thanks Garageink. These are the sort of advice I am looking for. Unforturnately, it does not work for me How do you find out which option(s) do you need in 3D Analyzer? To be honest I don't understand why it wouldn't work As far as I know, ChanKast is not using any DX9 or ATi or Nvidia specific features, and my Matrox Parhelia is fully DX8.1 compatible. Thank you.
  5. Hi all, As the official ChanKast forums are down, I think it would be a good idea to post the problem I am having here. I hope you guys don't mind answering. Okay, over the last five hours I've been trying to get this to work, but no joy. I have got: - ChanKast 0.2a - ChanKast Utilities 0.2a - SF3ts.nrg (also on CD as well) - all BIOS's - VMS Basically everytime I try to run it, it would crash ("chankast.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience") AFTER showing the logo. System spec: P4 1.8 512mb ram, plenty of page memory left Over 2gig harddrive space left Matrox Parhelia-512 128mb I am pretty sure it is not a gfx card driver problem, because I tried to use 3D Analyzer and disabled everything (rendering, texture, HW T&L, lighting, etc) and it still crashed. Not applications are running. All unnecessary services disabled. Please help. Many thanks. EDIT: By the way I can get into BIOS. Also tried v0.1, same result.
