  1. they are in romstatus.xml....

but will be sfa sfa2 ...

;; Rom Status 1 is LAUNCHER OF NEOGEO/CPS2 IN FINAL BURN CORE ( Tagged as HOT GAME)

;; Rom Status 7 is LAUNCHER OF NEOGEO/CPS2 IN FINAL BURN CORE ( Tagged as ALL TIME CLASSIC GAME)

anything taged as 1 or 7 in CoinOPS/general/romstatus.xml

    Cool, thanks.

  2. all later cps2 games....

why do you want screenshots? I can make sum if you want

Do you know the ROM names? I'm trying to decide if I want to stream those or move them to the drive.

Thanks, I need the Screenshots because I can't fit the videos on my factory drive.

  3. What are all the ROM names that are affected by the enable/disable of the 'Final Burn CPS2 Core' in advanced settings?

Also, does anyone have a complete Screenshots for CoinOPS 2?

    Thanks.

  4. just setup the path in advanced settings...for console paths...all games should work from samba if the paths correct

Thanks for the reply. It's not working for consoles and I have a working path to arcades.

This works for arcades not consoles.

    smb://workgroup/server/share/path/roms

    also tried this for consoles

    smb://server/share/path/roms

What's the proper syntax for consoles?

  5. I've asked before, but not in this thread. I would like to have SAMBA (SMB Support) across all cores. Or even across most cores. And be able to stream the videos.

    Thanks.

For anyone that has a NAS, this post I made a while back is still relevant to CoinOPS2

Just in case anyone else uses network streaming and are having this issue. Here's what BP helped me with.

Go into Advanced and 'Disable' the Final Burn CPS2 Core. This will take care of the 'ROM Error: No Data Found' on Capcom & Fighting games.

The following 13 roms will not stream and need to moved to xbox. CoinOPS\roms\

    abcop

    cotton

    gforce2

    gloc

    hsf2

    kf10thep

    pdrift

    rchase

    smgp

    snowbro3

    strkfgtr

    thndrbld

    toutrun2

The following 5 roms need to be renamed to lowercase: (Hint: this will actually benefit everyone as these don't scan at all until renamed, so you get 5 more games)

    Hellfire

    Ninjakun

    Pushmans

    Vastar

    Whizz

Console roms (GBA_, SNES_, MDRIVE_) don't stream. Ignore them or move to xbox. CoinOPS\roms\

Rescan your games and you'll get 1215 working (- consoles)

Thanks for the assistance BP. Now get to work on full SMB support across all cores. :D

Oh yea, and SMB video preview.

Also, if anyone else would like to see support for SAMBA, please speak up.

all good...smb support for consoles / fb will be pretty easy as stated to a few people now its hard to get a vib of what people want without the vote...but good to see the messages and new way works well...create threads of stuff you want I wont answer except via pm or msn....if I see it get supports ill spend the time and get it in....
  6. The locks BP is putting in won't stop CoinOps from working the way it always has. I believe its only intention is to make it that you cannot delete roms.

Which prevents those of us with factory hard drives from enjoying the latest updates. Unless of course I could stream everything from my Server.

  7. ive allready added a few of those but really this stuff will be discussed after the standalone...ill let everyone play then ill release the massive pack onto the world...

remember though there is some locks to make consoles mandatory in this release.....

unless 10 people that arnt the trolls and have been around for more than 3 months request it doesnt happen the locks will go in place (remember this was because of xbox waal and cba giving misinformation and me deciding that ill force you to see that its misinformation and consoles work sweet)

My vote for 'no lock'. Otherwise I can't update. Factory HD, so I can only use what will work with SMB.

  9. So with the latest release of CoinOPS, I've been working on getting the ROMs & Videos to stream from my NAS. I've been able to get most of the ROMs to stream.

However, I've ran into some ROMs that do not stream. So far, I've found that these fail to load with the following error.

    ROM Error: No Data Found

    Press "A" to exit

    Power Drift (Sega)

    Galaxy Force 2 (Sega)

    Street Fighter Alpha 3 (Capcom)

    Snow Bros 3 (Other)

Are there some cores that do not support network streaming? The only thing I can think of why some work and others do not from same network path.

Also, using the same network path to the videos, I don't get the Video Preview. Only a static image. I presume that's being pulled from the 'screenshots' folder.

Any idea why streaming the Video Preview wouldn't work? Does it get it's path from anywhere other than the MAMEoX.ini in TDATA?

All I have are factory hard drive sized boxes, so would like to get all the streaming working. Any help appreciated.

  10. yeah...im not sure that was the issue :)....im not sure at present what it is....

if anyone sees this issue again please test the launching of Console games or FBA games I need to know if they boot slow as they boot a diff XBE

If you can tell me a few titles to try, I'll time them. I'm not sure what determines a Console or FBA game.

  11. 3econds is fine then.....its the time it should take to boot

Huh? It's taking 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 minutes to load the stated ROMS. Where did you get 3 seconds from my post? 2 seconds is how long it takes to exit a game back to the ROM list.

I guess I'm the only one that suffers from this, so don't worry about it. I'll manage.

  12. whats your time to boot a rom?

and delte all saves including xbmc and finalburnlegends all of them reboot CoinOPS and then tell me the spped a game launches please?

do other cores load fast? as it could be the xtra size in xbe....as its 3 times the size now as mameox as it supports 12,000 to 13,000 games now in stead of 4,000. Theres some other things it could be....id need a proper forum to test and fix this as none of the 20 xboxs ive added it to does this....

    so questions

    1) do you have ShowROOM LITE?

    2) if you do how long does street fighter alpha 3 take to boot...and how long does snowbro 3 take to boot

    3) when you exit a game how long does it take

    4) when you go shutdown how long does it take to shut down...from the start menu

    5) have you deleted x y z cashe? as they may be full

PS for everyones info as if you want to delete the save in advanced settings is Rest Everything ... this will delete all saves etc....

I have 2 boxes and also have this slow ROM load anomaly. Here's my results, both on a factory hdd.

    box 1

    1) Yes

    2) street fighter alpha 3 = 2:47 / snowbro 3 = 2:42

    3) 2 sec

    4) 2:37

    5) Yes

    box 2

    1) Yes

    2) street fighter alpha 3 = 3:32 / snowbro 3 = 3:27

    3) 2 sec

    4) 3:21

    5) Yes

For consistency, times were taken with the Stopwatch @ http://www.online-stopwatch.com/large-stopwatch/

No change w/ or w/o XBMC. I've never used FBL.

  14. I'm sorry I'm not sure what to do with that. I took a look at that tool set and I don't currently even have SNES emulation running. I thought you already had some videos that just needed converted. I could probably handle that kind of stuff.
