Damn, those polar bears are causing some serious trouble I thank you very much for answering so fast!

So if i purchase flash card for DS and put, lets say, pokemon platinum on it, will i be able to normally use new shiny WiFi features or do they require some kind of code from game box to be able to play online? Please excuse my English, i'm from Finland (ooh look, a polar bear just passed my window)
