    Your first sentence, no, actually play those games then look at the trailers.

     

    I have played those games, and many more if not all major FPS games since almost the beginning, and a post apocalyptic setting like this is fairly original. It takes place in a desert, how else is a desert supposed to look?

     

    At the second one, do I normally what? Is that even a real question? You stated you hated gamers, so yea, it would be a normal thing to attack you for being stupid and even having a young form of racism in your idiotic post. You even give the sense that you assume I'm the kind of poster you usually get at sh!tty forums, IE:Gamefags and Gamesh!t.

     

    Of course it's a real question... You said first that it looks generic because it looks like other games. I said which games you gave me a list of games Rage looking nothing like. Your reply had that air of casual "I don't give a flock actually proving my point. Generic." What the flock kind of reply is that? There is way too much of that crap on the internet and especially on gaming forums. I then say that I hate gamers because in general we are just the biggest shitheads on the internet (myself included). We're just too cool to be impressed and we just have to chime in with our uninformed opinions as fact. You then said I suck giant cock which makes no sense so I obviously hit a nerve.

    O, and opinions, whether they are backed or not, do mean something, it's just that it seems that you are incapable of grasping the concept.

    Oh yeah, opinions that aren't backed do mean something. They mean that they're useless and can be easily disregarded by anyone who has a desire to not be mired in bullshit.

     

     

    And Skythe is totally correct, this looks a lot like a Mad Max 3D which is completely off the walls flocking badass. They just have to make the driving look more solid than what's seen in the trailer.

    What do you want to do with your life? How strong are you in studying? When I started college I started as a bio major because I wanted to go to medical school. I drifted away from that and did some comp sci but didn't enjoy that and now I'm thinking of switching to economics.

    Pretty much anything made by ID before with shiny new paint. (Also before anyone points out I know who made Prey)

     

    Also if your here to ask stupid questions and bash upon those with different opinions then your sh!tty view point (that was spawned by your fuking desire to suck on monster cock every day) then gtfo. Hate gamers? Wtf are you doing in a bored where everyone is obviously one.

     

    The only "twist" in this game atm is the driving aspect, but sh!t, for that I'll go ahead and play Quake 2 and every time I beat a level switch up to Twisted Metal 2 and so forth.

    Beyond the fact that there are some mutants in Rage there is almost NO resemblance to any of those games you mentioned. It also has guns...

     

    Do you normally attack people by calling them cock suckers when they challenge your (weak) claims?

     

    What I mean by hating gamers is gamers who post drivel on internet forums with little to no substance or backing. The kind of people who post at GameFAQs and Gamespot. Having an opinion means nothing if it is not backed by something objective or a personal preference. Otherwise it is a worthless statement. But this is not an argument I have time or am in the mood for right now. But I have a feeling we will spar in the future so I look forward to those as good sport.

    I found this video with John Carmack, the guy who sold his car to single-handedly program the Doom engine,

    Not sure where you got that info from. By the time Carmack was programming the Doom engine id software was already fairly well off as a company because Commander Keen and Wolfenstein were fairly successful.

     

    But that is only a trivial matter.

     

    I'm not exactly sure what drives people to have these...

    You don't seem to be pretty sure of anything. And although the company had those previous titles, it was far from rich. That piece of trivia came from the Return to Castle Wolfenstein manual btw.

    Little sensitive there are we? I would trust a book that covered the lives of John Carmack and Romero to be a more reputable source than a video game manual. I downloaded the manual to look at it but I couldn't find it. What page was it on? And also this report by the Nightly Business Report following the release of Wolf 3D says they are a multi-million dollar business.

    You're pretty much completely wrong Chibi. 2x to 4x more powerful? What? It would have to be under specific and theoretical conditions. Did you watch the Carmack video? He would know just as much as PS3 exclusive developers and more than pretty much anyone on the issue outside of maybe Sony engineers.

     

    And Final Fantasy isn't going to decide sh!t. So what if it's the best looking game? It's winning an irrelevant contest. It's also just one game. What will decide the winner is what company and game can exploit all systems at once and provide the best experience.

    I'm not too thrilled about that driving footage in the trailer. I'm sure they'll tweak that to perfection by release date. I'm sure the FPS combat will be great because id has always been the best at getting that feel of movement and gun fire right.

    Hi. I am Autobahn. I am a 21 y/o student living with my parents in Plano, TX. I am not German, I just like the word Autobahn and the Kraftwerk song Autobahn. I also like to drive fast so I wish I was on the Autobahn.

     

    I like first person shooters, SHMUPS, fighting games, arcade light gun games. I dislike RPGs and strategy games. I like old SNES games which I love to play in emulators in class (that's how I found this place).

     

    I like action movies. And porn. <_<

    I dislike dramas and romance.
