  1. All my edits are free to be used and so are my rips. But I surely understand why someone would not want there time simply stolen like that.

I always ask and give credit before I use something someone else took time to show.

When I said "used as their own" I was trying to say that they wanted to use my creation and say that they made it. Then the admin said that anyone can freely do that all they want.

    Which site was this?

  2. Here are the answers to most of the ethics mugen follows.

    http://www.mugenguild.com/forum/index.php?...y;threadid=6730

This has come up many times in the MUGEN community, and as I recall there was an e-mail sent to capcom that wasn't replied to.

    Capcom replied.

    SNK never did.

Only one company has ever said they did not want mugen conversions of there characters and that was the company theat made Queen of Hearts. They only told creators not to create from that game. Thus they are not allowed at The Mugen Guild forum.

    The hell?

I should really start reading those threads more thoroughly.

Man, you never cease to prove your seniority and knowledge of the community TDS.

Don't tell him I said this, but you should have loona's place.

  3. D1337me

Now why is that name familiar?

A tip, don't go to mugenguild and post right away if you have little knowledge of mugen, unless of course it's in the help section.

And especially not MugenDev, I'm surprised you haven't been banned fomr there already if you were banned from MFG.

I'm not sure if an IP ban would effect you if you're viewing the forum without logging in. It is readable by guest, so your IP shouldn't be readable unless you post as a guest.

  4. Think of it as a comparison.

The sprite rippers have to rip from the game MvC2, which is extremely difficult and lengthy. And then they have to clean up the sprites, compile them, then program the character which is also lengthy.

Then someone like this goes on a website downloads it, sticks it in a game, and takes full credit for it.

Those who create the characters don't take credit for the sprite creation, but they do take credit for the ripping of the sprites and the programming.

Makes me wonder... how legal is it to rip a sprite from a copyrighted game and to redistribute it?

Don't assume all there is to a character is simple sprite ripping. It's much more than that.

This has come up many times in the MUGEN community, and as I recall there was an e-mail sent to capcom that wasn't replied to.

On a side note, I fuk'n hate angelfire. (forgot to change my avatar here)

  5. Solve the clue, that's all there is to it.

I am not going to GIVE you the password, it's a simple process of solving the clue Iron has created.

All of Iron's characters, as far as I know, are password protected and have clues.

  6. In response to wanting to use every KOF character in it.

    You can.

Well, technically. As is similar to MUGEN it is entirely customizable, nothing is set in stone. You could, theoretically, add in any mugen character you want. Mind you, you should make sure you know what you're doing. I've seen other people implement their characters into this engine. It's like a Streets of Rage version of MUGEN basically.

  7. reika, stages/tenka.def

    ^

That's how it's supposed to look.

Make sure that you've extracted the character to a folder of the same name as the character's.def file. Also, when you extract, sometimes another folder will automatically be created. Make sure this hasn't happened that there is another folder of the same name in that folder.

  8. Ogre has incredible AI that makes him very hard to beat. Master Geese is over powered and almost counters every move you throw at him. Evil Ken and Evil Ryu made by KingTigre are incredible characters with awesome AI and some unique moves.

Brolly isn't cheap. He's slow in compairison to the 4 guys I named above. :(

Ogre.....don't even talk about Ogre, I mean that.

Master Geese is a good challenge, not over-powered.

Evil Ken and Ryu are a simple matter of predicting moves.

It depends on which Broli you have that makes the difference in difficulty.

  9. Yesterday I Went To My Friends Home, And I Saw Them Playing Some Kind Of Wierd Arcade Games. When I had A Closer Look, It was A Mugen Game. The MUGen Game Is Zero3 And KOF99' Vs Street Fighter Or Sumthing. Is It  Ripoff Or Sumthing?

Nah, it was just a MUGEN game somebody created somewhere, I'm not sure I'm familiar with this one in partular.

Not that you're supposed to do that with MUGEN or anything :(
