The basic problem is that my brother's been trying to use Mugen and he's been having a lot of problems getting the background music to play. Although I don't use Mugen, or know that much about it, he asked me to help him since I know a lot about coding and such, and understanding the directions, that are more understandable than some HTML, were easy for me to understand. I made the needed changes to the data/select.txt document. After a few tries when it still wasn't working, we found out that, at least on Arcade mode, it goes to your enemy's BGM, which makes sense. But, the BGM songs would go slow, and sometimes double. It basically wouldn't work right. At some points, in the middle of the game screen, while everything else was still working, there would be this error message for that character about the BGM. With the background and small font, I couldn't read it too well. But, I checked here, and tried the VDMSound. Although the message never shows up, I'm getting thes same problem. I was wondering if anyone knew if it could be anything else, or if there was a certain version of VDMS I need to use. I'm using Windows XP, so I thought it should've worked. But, I downloaded version 2. If there's already a thread that explains it, I'm sorry if I missed it. I've been up for about 18 hours (I woke up at 6:00am this morning and now, it's nearly midnight). I haven't been working on Mugen for nearly this much (probably about a half an hour), but with babysitting two 8-year-olds for about 8 hours, and helping with dinner, I'm more tired than usual, and I've looked through about 3-4 of the threads, but that was about it. I'm half-asleep right now. I easily get carried away with explainations, so the last thread was half-ranting.
