  1. Hi!

I'm using DS2Key 0.6 and have a problem. (I'm not interested in the analog-joystick stuff at the moment so I havn't installed ppJoy or whatever that was called).

I have DS2Key up and running on my DS and using the default "0"-profile.

My problem is that whenever I press (or release) a key on the DS the mousepointer on my windowsXP-screen resets to the middle of the screen.

Obviously the DS sends some other signal to the DS2Key-server than just the button that I configed

    OR

the DS2Key server decieds to do a "reset mouse to middle of screen" for every input it gets.

Anyway, I guess this is what makes my emulators reject my input from the DS :-/

It works in ZSNES but if I try to config Nestopia I get an "Invalid input" respons, and if I try it in FCE Ultra (NES-emulator) it accepts the key when I config but when I run a rom and press a key it does a whole bunch of WIERD things like tries to save states and turns the CPU-throttling of and stuff.

Anybody here have similar problems or perhaps an easy solution?

  2. Just a heads up, in order to get this one to work, I had to rename the dskey.ds.gba one to.nds (the one already with.nds wouldnt work), and run it though the m3 perfect software (no trim, complete copy) in order for it to work.

Hmm. I do as I always do with my homebrews on my M3SD.

I simply put it on my SD-card through normal drag/drop in windows like the SD-card was just another HDD.

Never had any problems with any.nds homebrews including DS2KEY 0.3

I guess if you have troubles then it's because you use the Game-manager from M3 to put the homebrew on your card. I guess that software "screws up" the "rom" in some way.

  3. I bought a Nintendo USB WIFI just for use with homebrews.

It works for me using this (quite difficult) guide. Thankfully, once one gone through the setup the USB-dongle is just simple plug and play.

I run my wireless stuff unencrypted but have limited the access to it to just my NDS with a MAC-adress filter so eventhough it might be possible to sniff my wireless-communication atleast ppl can't use my internetconnection without premission. And let's hope hombrew-encryption will be done soon.

I've tried the homebrews WIN2DS, DS2KEY, Pointyremote and they all worked.

I've also run MarioKartDS (rom) over the internet against a bunch of unknown ppl. It worked too although I suck at mariokart and finished last all the time
