In answer to your question, there's no 252 release because of a number of reasons.

1. It's too hot (wait for summer to end)

2. Official MAME has too many bugs at present, it would make ARCADE look bad.

3. There's been no real progress in arcade game emulation since the last release.

4. The current release schedule is approximately every 3 months, more or less.

I found this site as I wanted to know if 'Arcade MAME' had been updated.

I have made myself a joystick board but am now building myself a DIY wall-mounted arcade cabinet.
