What are you guys doing for surreal?

 

I have Surreal XXX B5 on my xbox and all the roms just boot to a black screen. This happens both with patched and unpatched xbes as well.

Well, I'm just patching them just in case. I have all my files backed up on my computer. Those are unaltered.

 

Does anyone know what the patch does exactly? It runs very quickly, so I assume it either adds or subtracts a small amount of code. Also, who made it?

I tried with both patching and not. There doesn't seem to be any difference at least in the ones I've tried so far, X68k, CoinOps, FBL.

 

I would definitely keep the patch handy just in case.

 

Thanks for the quick response dude. I just wanted to make sure there weren't downsides to the patch. I'm pretty much making a patched set of emulators and leaving my unpatched ones alone.

I have no idea what the patch does but "pkbunghole" from xbox-scene is who made it.

What's the conclusion on patching emulators? Is it needed or no? You guys that are getting awesome results on the emulators like x68000 now are you patching the emulator first or no?

Dats have been supplied in reinginte for full build also top 1200 odd recoomended and optimed for CoinOPS games.

 

I have repaired a few bugs for the Showcase build and added a couple of tweaks......nothing major but it wont be exactly the same as Standalone it will corret a few minor issues.

 

************ Any comments on the new settings layout please.... any bugs in the settings at all as most of them were tweaked in someway

NO MORE DISCUSSION ON BUILDS PLEASE ive decided

680 game 8 GIG BUILD is "CoinOPS REIGNITE SHOWCASE"

 

Not trying to bust your balls here (huge fan of your program).....but maybe we could an updated "Best Of" DAT File with the new release, so those of us who want the extra games can at least have a decent way of compiling a nice romset?
