    Once again, please, please. I simply don't get it.

    How do I use the uni-bios? Where do I put it? What folder, what zip file, and how do I enable it?

     

    And what versions of Kawaks and Nebula do I have to use?

     

    This one doesn't work for me..somehow..:

    Place the ROM file in it into the main Kawaks folder with the kawaks.exe

     

    Run the game.

    And if you are using Nebula, rename the zip file to uni-bios.zip and place it in the Roms directory. Make sure you don't have any other NeoGeo bios in the same folder or it won't work.

     

    Then press Coin+Start when the game starts and it should bring you to the cheats database. Then just enable the Fatality thing.

    Because you can't insert coins to play in arcade mode, unless you have the correct BIOS. But then, if you can play with this BIOS in arcade mode, you can't select boss-characters. 8)

    What emu is this? Kawaks, MAME (does not support transparencies?!), Nebula (umm....no!) ? Fake maybe?

    I can play kof2003 on kawaks dev and mame with no problems no speacial bios is needed. as for the pic's they are from the net that pic you show has a URL address on it....

     

    The reason i do not recomend Kawaks DEV is that it is only a dev test emu and the roms it uses are not correct. once it works on the normal kawaks it will use the rom set like mame uses.

     

    Umm...I think you misunderstood me, james. Did you notice the transparency? I'm wondering where it comes from. Myself, I can not enable the shown transparency on Kawaks dev. It was on your website, so I thought you might know something about it.

     

    Can someone else enable transparencies on Kawaks?

    i tried out the winkawaks 1.48 version of kof2k3 and the picture is HORRIBLE..the picture was so pixelated and blocky

     

    When you dl and start a normal Kawaks version, the standard blitter is checked by default, which interpolates the pixelated graphics. The resolution of the Neo*Geo hardware ist, compared to your desktop very low.

    So if you resize the window of kawaks to 200-300% the image will be pixelated, just as if you were resizing a *.bmp image.

    Well, on the dev version this interpolation is not checked, you have to do it by yourself.

    Hey all I'm new here so come and get the rom+Kawaks, and trust me, it works  :blink:

    Yes, of course it works. But as long as it works with kawaks-dev only, and not with the normal kawaks and nebula, this rom should be (is) considered as a dirty hack.

     

    Imagine the following: for every rom you own, you have an emu that's specifically for this rom only.

     

    And why do some people here hate MAME so much? Is it just teh speed?
