[Documentatioin for CoinOPS]

as far as i know there isnt any,just read up some of the past threads to found out about stuff added.

 

Yeah that's the change logs he mentioned. He asked about a manual, ie how to actually use the thing.

 

There has never been any documentation, mostly because they are straightforward to use. There are button presses which are a combination of back/start/black/white -

 

back + start = reset to rom list

back + white = pause

back + black = In-game menu

 

These aren't mentioned in any log I have ever seen, but they are very useful. I have spoken to a lot of people who didn't know they existed.

 

I guess someone should draw up a quick how-to.

IS there a way to do in game screenshots too? i have tried every button combo i can thing of and can't find it. I also do no find it in the inscreen menu options.

I wish when people came in and ask for stuff and help that they would post more,instead of just geting what they need and never post anything again.

Im not having a go at anyone or anything but cmon guys,maybe a bit of feedback or contributions to other threads to keep this forum going.

 

So hopefully this wasn't directed at me Just got it installed. Found a few caveats newbs like me run across so here they are for others that install this.

 

Don't zip up screenshots into individual zip files per game. It allowed me to load up Coinops+ scan for roms but when I tried to launch a games it would just "black screen".

 

In order to resolve I did a few things -

I unzipped all the .png files into the directory and removed the zips.

Also because my DVD burner is broken I have been playing off the HD with 500mb worth of ROMS. I suspected it might need the bios zips in the rom Dir so I made sure those were there plus the games I wanted.

 

Specifically I made sure neogeo/konamigx/stvbios were present - may have been more but that is all I remember.

 

Also I made sure to load up Coinops+ - let it scan then exit out so it saved the settings this took 30secs-1 min. Then the next time I loaded up Coinops I was in much better shape and can see the games and select them to play.

 

Also I don't know if anyone noted this or if it is because I am only using a 64Mb Xbox (no 128 upgrade) but Bangball.zip after I completed the first level I got a time bonus and the game slowed down to a horrible crawl. Not sure if this is known or not.

 

One other question I had for anyone else is can use romcenter and splitmerge them or does the set have to be a full unmerge? THANX

I have seeded that CoinOPS+ torrent to death, like 20 copies. As soon as someone gets it they go. Public trackers being as they are, it's a bit disheartening. Anyway... the screenshots are optional, but they can be downloaded as part of Mame Extras torrents that you may see around.

 

I have PM'd you with a link to the CoinOPs+ emu only. The emu contains the dats you need too. I have also attached a text file with a list of all the games that were provided with 1st and 2nd Quarter. No additional roms were added to CoinOPs+ (3rd Quarter).

So I am dying to check out this emu and see whats going on. However, I have been trying to get a copy of at least just the emu for 3 days straight now and there are no seeders . I would love to just get the emu as i assume it will be much smaller then the other downloads. If anyone here could point me to a link that has just the core files for Coinops+ and possibly the screenshots along with a romcenter or clrmamepro dat file. I can use the dat to find out what i do/don't have after.

 

Any help is appreciated.
