I use VisualBoy, but when i type in the codes, it makes a strange noise.

When I type in the description, and type in the code, it like, makes a wierd noise, I have no clue if that means it works or not, can anyone help me? Is there any special Plug-In for the Gameshark/Code Breaker to make it work?
