    The important info is that release date.I was kind of expecting a late October to Mid November release date.

    I would prefer a Street Fighter-ish game as well,but keep in mind that this game is catering to the "New School"of Japanese fighting games,that are alot more fast paced,and focused on chain comboing(Arcana Hearts,Guilty Gear,Hokuto No Ken,Melty Blood).

     

    I don't like it that much either,especially with ArcSystWorks,and the arbitrarily difficult thing's that they add to their games that make it difficult for beginners,but as for right now these games are doing well,in a Japanese market that accepts them so I'm not expecting any new trend setting changes soon.

    Looks kind of lame imo. Did Devil Kings even do well as a game?

     

    It didn't do well in America,but it is a franchise over in Japan.They flipped alot of stuff around for the American release,cut some characters from the game,changed all of the names,and there is some different gameplay elements.Similar game at the very core I guess,

     

    I played a bit of Devil Kings.Still fun,but the BASARA is supposed to be even better.

    The Official Site is now up. It has some details on the theme song, but otherwise doesn't reveal much.

     

    The only section that is open is the Characters section; there are 10 'Player Characters' shown and each has an unrevealed 'Engun Character' to go with them. 10 CPU-only bosses?

    Engun Characters are just assistants.In the Sengoku Basara games in addition to your main character there is also an assistant character fighting right along side you.In this game you will be able to call assists similar to the character Yuda/Juda in the Hokuto no Ken fighting game,except this time the assists are built into the game and aren't just a 1 character specialty.
