you can do it this way if you want that charcter to have a specific level:

Ryu, stages/Ryu stage.def

 

or this way if you want to set a random stage to that character:

Ryu, random

 

then thats it your away m8

found the problem out now guys its cos the character i was against there level is set to random so wen mugen trys to load the same level as previous it cant so it crashes

[EvE Select Error..]

Well I just got EvE today (MUGEN too..) and got around 30characters and a few stages..

everything was going fine until i tried to turn on WinMUGEN and you know how intro with music comes up? Well after i push enter WinMugen closes (This is AFTER I put characters into select.def)

i replaced my updated select.def with the default and it started up with no problems, so i know its my select.def

any thoughts?

 

And btw there was no Error Message.. just closed..

Only thing i can think of mate is restore the default select file which is balnk and only put the chars in the "randomselect" slots.

 

if that dont work it may have been a bad download where did you get it from?

hey guys ive searched all over the net and still cant find the fix to this problem so im wonderin if anyone else has had this problem and if they have how did you fix it

 

basically ill open arcade mode play it fine but as soon as i get game over and press continue it puts me to the char select screen, i select my char, vs screen comes up and then it crashes sayin the map cant be loaded :S i know its not my map because all of em work first time but the dont when you want to continue.

 

If anyone out there can help me i'll repay them with my select file with alot of rare chars in it and i'll send you whatever you want
